I hope Cipriani has a good game - I've warmed to him a bit after his performances for Rebels (ignoring the time he robbed that vodka bottle at the start of the season)
 
Toeava is in the squad and the BBC get excited about Tomkins... Sounds par for the course.
 
The official farewell match for Matfield. He retires after this match. I am curious to see if something is prepared to honor him afterwards.

Holy Cow you wouldn't argue with that backline would you ? They've got some giant's in there & Adriaan Strauss can be a frightening ball carrier when he get's going too.
 
Good looking squad. Their big Baba's is going to be a good test for James O'Connor (who looks like he will play 12), as he will likely face a similarly big midfield combo the following week versus Wales.

Should be a good match.
 
Gonna be awesome, it's a shame SBW was ruled out by injury but they're hardly lacking in size anyway...

Good call...surely some of the Georgian Props could've been given a ring...
 
will be nice to see Sam Tomkins having a game of union. I think it may be a bit over hyped and he will be unlikely to have a massive performance. You only have to look at Ashton interviews to see that he wasnt comfortbale in Union after a season and you only have to look at how poor Willie Mason was in the last Baa Baa's match at Twickenham to know that itll be hard for Tomkins to make a big impact.
 
Tomkins will most likely have a mixed game where his insane running ability will dazzle and his lack of Union knowledge will show him up... still, the Barbarians is all about fun, and he's an incredibly exciting talent. If League had equivalent 'exhibition' matches it would be cool to see Union players playing in those too..

Would be nice if the Baa Baas could have Jacques Burger at 6, Gorgodze at 8, Ngwenya at 14 etc..
 
I think Seru Rabeni has been in the barbarians for 5 or 6 years in a row now, has any other player ever done that?
