The WRU has announced that the Wales versus Barbarians fixture at the Millennium Stadium on June 4 will be a full cap international which ensures the outcome of the game is vitally important for Rugby World Cup squad preparation.
The decision has been taken by the WRU Board of Directors in recognition of the status of the fixture and its importance to Welsh rugby history.
The match has been organised to commemorate the 130th anniversary of the formation of the WRU as the governing body of the union game in Wales.

Wales coach Warren Gatland will be out to rewrite the history books which show that Wales have only beaten the Barbarians twice and have lost five times.

Caps have been awarded by Wales twice before in games against the Barbarians first in the Baa Baa's centenary celebration match in 1990 and again in 1996.

Underneath this on the facebook page someone said:
Wales should pick this team :-15 Stoddart 14 James 13 North 12 Hook 11 Halfpenny 10 Robinson 9 Knoyle 1 Bearman 2 Williams 3 Jones 4 AW Jones 5 I Evans 6 R Jones(c) 8 Morgan 7 M Williams

Upon reading this team, I looked like this:

(unless there's a Bearman prop floating around I'm not aware of?)

Morgan isn't WQ until January IIRC.

Still like my team the best, of course. Besides, Hook is getting married that day, so that rules him out.
How about:
9 Peel
10 Robinson
11 Harries
12 Henson :D
13 Roberts
14 North
15 Halfpenny

I wouldn't mind Halfpenny, Martyn Thomas or Jaw at 15, to give us a few options. Maybe Charteris and Bradley as locks, as Ian Evans still has injury troubles.

Ye I got the official press release via the WRU this afternoon but told not allowed to post it till after 12am.

Great shout by the WRU. Going to be an amazing game to celebrate 130 years of Welsh rugby.
