Don't think Leicester ever looked like they'd win that. Good, was the right result (especuilly as Sarries have been the most consistant through the season).

That said, forgetting after time was up, it was a ruddy horrible match. It's one thing to be conservative, but when Sarries look to run the ball more then the opposition that says enough!

Aye, last 5minutes aside Tigers weren't in it at all - Sarries the better team on that pitch, and their defence at the end was superb

If they could ditch Steve Borthwick I could find myself liking Saracens - Brits was great today, though my favourite was when he tried a Quade Cooper step to get past Castro and got smashed

**** sake biggest day in Sarries' history and I have to work, and miss the game. Got back in to some great news though!! anyone know where the highlights are being shown?

Be a good effort padding out an hours worth of highlights, really wasn't that sort of game.

Deserved result.

Ashton laughing off the crowd's chants of "Manu! Manu!" and being pushed in a wheelchair by Healey was fun.

Hehe! Didn't see that.

Great display by Sarries, and Farrell lived up to all the hype. Amazing for 19 yrs. At about 65 mins I thought his knee was completely gone after a slightly cynical late challenge, but he came back well.

Enjoyed the match, but then I don't mind lots of scrums and brickwall defence. Taking a penalty break into account, Tigers must have had 40 phases on the 5 metre line in the last few minutes, but the saffers wouldn't let them through.

Not a beauty, but good tension.

Staunton is a complete liability, as a quins fan id kno that better than most! :) was at twickenham and while it wasnt the best, the tension and excitement of bein at the game made it a good match to be at! With leicesters attitude on and off the field this season i was really glad sarries managed to do it! Btw not trying to have a dig at leicester fans, but cockerill was pretty ungracious in both loss and victory this season!

TBF Cockers has always been the same - ery much wears his heart on his sleve, completely one eyed and often engages his mouth before his brain. He's only apparently been worse this year since Doctor Evil buggered off back to SA and started keeping his nose out of Saracens' media work, thus not overshadowing him.

2 key players changed today in my eyes:

Brits - Still can't hook for monkeys, but is a cut above as a front row open field player. The player whom Bath Fans have been kidding themselves Lee Mears is for the past decade.
Ben Youngs - With every passing day he mutates into Harry Ellis a llittle more. Which is terrible for Leicester, England and rugby in general (the last theing the world needs is another of that little gobshite).

I haven't seen the game but I really don't know what has happened to Youngs. Before the six nations he was in my top three scrum halves in the world. He has all the confidence in the world and he played the game and made decisions as if he had been playing the game for decades but now he seems flustered and conservative. At times when he used to have a go from anywhere he now just kicks poor box kicks right into the oppositions hands and he used to be so snappy but now he just seems to runs sideways etc. The main thing is that he used to be so controlling but now he has lost confidence and communication. I know he has so much talent but he need to regain his qualities that made him such a fantastic player.

Agree with that, and Bullitt as well. He didn't show any command of the forty rucks on Sarries line at the end.

Another case of England ruining a promising young player =/

I'd say Floods worse than Youngs though, completely gone to pots since the 6N

I don't think England have ruined Floods and Youngs, I think it's a combination of 2nd season blues and a lack of experience on the field. Last season F&B would have had Geordan Murphy + Moody chatting away to them, Lote Toquri and Hipkiss - all with a lot of experience. THis season, they're playing backline wise in a relatively young team, with few leaders.

Anyways, look at Jamie Roberts season this year compared to last, or the second season of any number of Young players. I think they'll sort themselves out, it's just a learning process when you're a young player.

Thats a good point. Hopefully this is also the case with Kearney :) The strange thing is that they were brilliant at the start of the season and for the first to games in the six nations and suddenly they both hard quite poor games against Scotland and then against Ireland they had what is in my opinion the was worst game I have seen Youngs and Flood play since then they have never seemed to return to form and even against Leinster at the Aviva both players seemed half the players they used to be. Its just strange they lost it its not like they had a long term injury as Roberts and Kearney both have had. I'm sure they will both return to be brilliant once again the but can they do this before the WC?

This is Toby Floods 7th season though, not second :p
He's played a WC final as well - don't think it's lack of experience for him

Could be that way with Youngs though, but it's just weird how he looked so good before the 6N and through the first couple of games of the 6N, and now he's half the player he was (Edit: coonor typed pretty much the same thing I did while I was posting this  )

Sarries defence was immense we totally deserved it and tigers give them their due fought to the grim death! Epic defending for 10 mins on 5 meter line!
