I was very impressed by Brad Barritt once again. Would like to see him pulling on a white shirt with the number 12 on the back, but I think MJ loves Hape's mediocre crash balls and distinctly average pass too much for that ever to happen.

It's still a shame for me and other Sharks fans that he left us. When we made the final in 2007 (Super14, not the RWC) he was one of the most influential players in that team. He has really stepped up after his move to England and deserves a chance in the sacred white

Agreed - Unfortunately he's having surgery in the next few days so is missing the Saxons and will most likely miss his chance for the WC (unless Johnson intends to go really experimental in one of more of the warmup matches)

Could Barritt make some of the freindlies? It would be good to see somethign different in the centres... I would say its the weakest link in the backs - if it wasn't for Flood and Youngs going off the boil quicker than a kettle in the arctic.

Friendlies aren't for about 2months though, so it's possible he could

Having said that though, Banahan is being groomed as a 12 now, so we'd see him there before Barritt

Johnson wont put banahan at 12 in a test, he wont. He would have seen him yesterday against the baabaas and realised that he is more of a 13/winger. To be honest- i think a barritt banahan partnership could work......but thats just me!!
