Aviva Premiership 17/18 - Round 3

Ummm Allison and Mallinder trying to be the worse player on the pitch.
Allinson, hands down. He's barely championship quality. I'd far rather we'd recalled HomerJr for this; it's a dual contract after all.

At least I have one thing to be genuinely proud of after that display.

The premiership has finally a DOR who actually knows what the HIA rules are, and understands that they're there to protect players from serious harm.

He's dead right, Underhill has failed that HIA before the medics even arrived. Loss of consciousness (or suspicion thereof) means that there is no assessment to be made, and that the player must leave the pitch and stay off.

Let's hope some of the others learn this lesson too!

Yeah that was a pretty worrying turn of events. Any rule that incentivises teams to leave players on the pitch after a head knock needs changing immediately. Hopefully it will be

Yeah have to say even though we'd already lost the match I was pretty annoyed we had to go down to 14 men for the safety of one our players. Imagine a world cup or premiership final in a tight match having a similar situation.

Still need to watch the highlights but it seems chiefs smashed the worriors. Its good to see them putting in dominant performances against lower table teams and showing why they should be in the top 6/4, and right now thats where i would put them because they havnt faced bigger teams.

Chiefs v Wasps should be a good one next weekend and will show where both teams are after 3 weeks of lower table teams. :)

Chiefs.Chiefs.Chiefs :)

Even though they were totally dominant, they were a bit off colour in certain areas, and should have put another 30 points on the board. Turner dropped a gimme right on the line. They are missing LCDs bullocking runs.
Looking forward to wasps game next week.

You've got to fear the worst for worcester.

Don't know if it's been mentioned yet but how good was Underhill?!

23 tackles in 67 minutes is damn impressive, especially when the majority of those were big hits on big forwards. The Currys are good but Underhill's just so strong in defence, I'd have him as England's starting 7 come the AIs.

~HEY RYAN WAS ONLY WINDED.

DIDN't YOU SEE THE HEAD SHAKE? HE WAS WINDED!!!!!!!

Refs need to be hotter on players not releasing the ball after the tackle is complete, and then standing up to go again.

Jonny May jumps into contact far too often for my liking.

Doesn't let him get any power - and it makes it significantly more likely we see someone penalised for supposed tip tackles.

Leicester still butchering so many opportunities. They really remind of Arsenal in football. So many chances and often little to show for it.

How Gloucester didn't get anyone binned only Craig Maxwell-Keys will know. 17 penalties, team warning, deliberate knock on in the 22 (with the player holding his head in his hands).

Malouf is so bad

Actually i can see what the coaches can see in him now.

He is a hell of a hitter in defence and doesn't shy away and a that finish was top class.

Needs more work on his foundations though which is prob why he should be playing in the A league but Thompstone and Brady are out.

Mapaplangi looks a very interesting prospect.

How did Saracens convince Falcons to give up their home game for this USA experiment? I hope they're getting a hefty pay packet for it, especially as they're not exactly gonna be raking it in from ticket sales from the 3 people who turned up.

Still 3x more than at the AJ bell...
