Aviva Premiership 17/18 - Round 1

On the wide shots you'd be forgiven for thinking this was Tigers vs Scarlets with these kits

You'd be forgiven for thinking Sale and Saints games were the security footage from an industrial unit.

Only seen the Chiefs game and abit of the Lirish one. But from what i can tell from the scores and what ive read on here. Sales defence got dismantled and was poor yet wasps also leaked some points, score seems like they let their foot off the gas.

Saints were woeful ( quins and saints havnt made many changes from last season so no excuce for defences to not gel). 7 amd 8 end of season for saints quins i bet.

Never expected them to get get beat by Lirish like that, they came back but still.

As a chiefs fan i hate playing gloucester. We are a top 4 team they are bottom 4 yet always seems to be close. I mean loss of parling as well as not having devoto, LCD. Loss of dennis before the game. And nowell on the bench we wernt at full strength but i think nic white wasnt the best. We need a 9 that got to the breakdown and passed the ball instant quick and accurate delivery as maunder did. Fair play to gloucester they earned it. And we didnt capitalise on chances. Dm still smashed it last year despite loosing most of the first 8 games :).

Not only has that Aussie tigers wing never played professional XVs, he's never played on the wing before
Crazy

New laws definitely seem to have made an impact. The ball is being moved around very quickly.

Aye, loving it so far

Time off hasn't done tuilagi much good - I imagine it'll go with game time but his defence and awareness is poor (poorer than usual) and then team that with a winger who doesn't know where to stand and there's too much room for that bath backline to work with out there

Again it could be rustiness from a lack of game time, but Joseph doesn't seem to be find it very hard to mark him up in defence either.

I loathe BT coverage more and more, every time I see it.

About as entertaining as a whacky waving inflatable flailing arm tube man.

I still find it a refreshing change from Sky and Stuart Barnes... The novelty of no Stuart Barnes hasn't worn off yet I guess.

Even Austin Healy and his obvious Leicester bias doesn't really annoy me as he does seem pretty knowledgeable really.

For me Leicester's problem is trying the complicated before doing the basics, something that has been persistent for a while. By comparison, London Irish had their basics down, a good solid defence and then were able to do the complicated with more confidence.

Ford you play for tigers now...dont pass to roko haha . Great intercept and last min step to avoid may. Good game tbh
