Australia vs England (3rd Test) - 16/07/22

How Ewels gets picked over Chessum and Isiekwe will drive me crazy come RWC

Honestly
4. Isiekwe
5. Chessum

Could be a tasty combo in the future both 6ft 8 Chessum more athletic and Isiekwe more brutal

Oh dear gods.
Aussie commentator "that's Mako Vunipola, he's some scrummager, one of the greats, plays for the Saracens club"

Smith has given a lot of defensive yards. Ford isn't a big lad but seems to keep in and ride hit from the offensive player.

Argument to have penalty go other way there IMO. Not sure ref has helped either side.

Ford typically gives a metre in the tackle, but gets his man down.
Smith (today) seems to give a metre in the tackle, then fall off the tackle, and someone else has to make it (unless it's Porter, who requires a 3rd England player)

Exactly

Ford had similar issues earlier in his career as well tbf, hopefully Smith improves
TBF the fact that he's not afraid to get stuck in is good - it's better than Cipriani was early in his career and would literally move out of the way of players to avoid having to tackle

Gutless picks won't win any fans back with this dire performance.

Ah a fine end.

Aus are **** England are less s@it.

I jest, a tour win is a tour win. Thought England showed a bit of dog and desire to turn that around.

Got a look at some young talent , who got the experience. Lots to do.

A] He really didn't. He had a few matches where his dad wanted him to hit high, and changed his tackle technique. Then Hughes batted him aside a few times, and he went back to soaking his tackles and getting his man down. His reputation was never aligned to his reality there.

B] Yes. "It's better to be present with 10 men, than absent with 1,000"
Even Cips was braver than Harry Mallinder though
