if you sent this to you mum for mother's day, would she laugh or be horrified?

hora for Tom Watson, talked a lot of sense, I could vote for him when I could never vote for Corbyn, (Andrew Marr show)

Mays arrogance knows no bounds.

With regards to Israel, I think the issue is people tend to be extreme in their views one way or the other. They either think Israel is a shining light that all democratic states should aim to emulate or the most horrific state ever to grace the face of the Earth. The problem is that reality lies in between as usual. Compared to most western democracies, Israel has some seriously questionable policies and acts in ways that would be frowned upon if carried out in a western state. Those that want to criticise Israel for everything they do wrong always turn a blind eye to how their neighbours act and also ignore the fact that a Muslim Arab in Israel would be treated much better than an Israeli Jew is the surrounding nations.

Israel has been the target of more human rights resolutions in the UN than any other country on the planet, which is clearly absurd.

the main problem Israel has, is they are surrounded by enemies a sign of weakness might be their undoing,

True, but deciding not to continually bulldoze people out of their homes is not a sign of weakness.

It's kicking off between India and Pakistan. Two Indian jets downed apparently. Both are nuclear states too. Guess America won't get involved as there's no oil up for grabs.

Lockheed recently made a pitch to the Indians for updated F-16s.

Might be enough for 'ol Uncle Sam to declare interest.

Although then again, they also have sold F-16s to the Pakistanis.

Further figures confirming the recent trend of dramatically less migration from Eastern Europe but more from the rest of the world.

EU net migration at the lowest level since 2009. Who knew that all we had to do was sow economic uncertainty, fundamentally weaken the pound and make the UK the last destination in the continent any enterprising Eastern European sort would want to try and make a living in.

Just postpone Article 50 indefinitely and embrace political paralysis as a creed and the 'problem' will take care of itself. :p

I am in disbelief that May uses phrases like 'respecting the will of the people', 'history will judge us if we don't deliver Brexit' and yet on the other hand it seems perfectly acceptable for her to offer political bungs and bribes in order to get her deal over the line. How is this a fair use of taxpayer's money when the NHS and other areas are crying out for funds and yet she seems happy to throw cash at the DUP and these northern areas full of lazy racist chavs who voted for Brexit for all the wrong reasons.

To top it all off she is still refusing to allow the public another (more informed) vote now we have a better idea of what Brexit actually looks like. It's truly staggering. I know how my sense of history will judge this form of democracy

Currently can only see reports that the funding is only for England and NI currently.

Heard rumours that Wales and Scotland will get a certain amount due to the Barnett formula, but the estimated numbers I've seen for Wales (not seen any for Scotland yet) work out as a fraction of what Wales currently gets back from the EU...

Wales worked out as one of the biggest beneficiaries of EU funding per capita in the UK. I don't think there is much political will to increase the money Wales gets beyond it's already higher amount.

True - especially with a Tory government in power, as Wales isn't exactly a heartland for the Tories so not like throwing money at us will get them many seats.

It's probably what I'm angriest the most about Brexit. The amount of leave voters here who were completely ignorant (somehow) about the amount of money coming in from EU... not sure how they expect things to be better once that goes?

I always wondered what % of voters took the time to assess and weigh up the 'arguments' (using that word loosely) on both sides before making what they felt was an informed choice/vote. I doubt it was more than 15-20%. Most people had no clue what they were voting for. Same applies to all those people who voted for Corbyn without bothering to find out what he actually stood for.

I think a large chunk of those who did vote leave saw it a giant middle finger to the establishment that they feel has left them behind time and time again, probably not helped by David Cameron being in the Remain camp.

Problem is they've probably stuck it to the wrong establishment...

Be interesting to see how this affects the polls in Wales, especially with Plaid appearing to be on the up in the latest polls.
