A Political Thread pt. 2

You have no idea what I am. I support no government. Including my own. What I am is the man governments fear. I don't need them, I can live a full life without money, and do for myself. Why do you think they're so up on carbon dioxide when it's essential to foliage, and why they want to reduce nitrogen when it's essential to food growth? Don't be lead by the nose.
Yeah, I'm sure governments really fear you and I know exactly who and what you are, you've made that abundantly obvious. You voted for Brexit, you are sick of foreigners, you spend a disproportionate amount of your time complaining about "wokeness", you deny man made climate change is a thing, you support Farage and would vote Reform, you watch GB news, you like Alex Jones & Joe Rogan and you think Putin is the last defender of white masculinity in the west. Clearly any more time talking to you will be a waste, ignore.

I know all about you I need to know. I'm not even over there dummy

Doesn't look like all is well with the SNP:
Angus Robertson not putting himself forward for the leadership contest (waiting until after the election so he's not tarred with the "de factor referendum" stuff?), and he was (apparently) by far the preferred candidate
So there'll be:
  • Humza Yousaf
  • Ash Regan
  • Kate Forbes

Forbes apparently the most likely, at the moment, of the three - but is pretty unappealing to SNPs newer following, being anti-LGBT, anti-Abortion

Wonder if this could see a resurgence of Labour in Scotland?
Yousaf would be fine, and hes already had a highly publicised death threat against his family, so he would be going into it with his eyes wide open and hopefully toughened to provocation. Plus he has loads of experience of domestic policy.

Forbes is a completely unknown and very young, but has the discipline to vote with party against her very traditional religious views. The fact the media are hyping her up as favourite likely means she isn't and they think she would be a weak link.

Regan is a Mary Sue circus act of no import outside of her own skull.

Robertson is a big loss. If its anyone other than Yousaf there is potential for a major SNP wobble.

Labour could be fine up here. I actually liked two of the three Labour First Ministers we had. Sarwar seems a decent sort but isnt very telegenic. But he has been forced by down south to withdraw from council coalitions with SNP and/or Greens and make alliances with the Tories and Lib Dems instead. That is pure kryptonite (if the public become aware of it).

I'm saying no matter a stance someone takes, they've always done something worse. People cause their own problems. Fact of life. And when you push a war with a madman that has his finger on the button, it won't end good. Far as past atrocities, oh yeah, we've come so far alright. Society wants to demasculate men, women on a man's rugby pitch, kids not knowing what they are, oh yeah, we've come so far.
I am confused. You are saying NATO nations and non-NATO nations like Japan, Moldova, Finland and Sweden are foolish for objecting to a "madman" invading a neighbouring country with the intention of removing it from the map?

But then you seem to suggest it wasn't the madman that created this war, it was somehow pushed on him by others? If other nations are so hell bent on war with Russia please look at a map of Kaliningrad and explain why no other nation has touched it when it could be invaded in 24hrs? Why do those who supply weapons to Ukraine insist they are not used on Russian soil?

Perhaps, like figures in the Russian government you think Poland should also be eliminated. Even though it has a far right government too?

Maybe if we all just slaughter each other for the next century that will be better than EU, US and UK citizens living statistically the longest, most healthy and most comfortable lives in human history. :p

Ok firstly using past atrocities to justify present ones is not an argument and displays a certain mindset. Second, nazi Germany were the aggressors and carrying out a war of extermination so bed to be stopped. I can't believe you're attempting to compare Russia indiscriminately bombing civilians in a war they started against a democratic country with the allies doing so against an aggressor with one of the most evil regimes in human history!

Do you also go round making out modern day slavery is ok because we did it in the past!? Ethnic cleansing? Are all things ok to continue doing as long as someone did it some time in the past?
I can't believe you guys are still feeding the troll.

I think Robertson might be playing the long game. The person who follows Sturgeon is like the person trying to follow Sir Alex at Man Utd. Wouldn't surprise me if the next leader doesn't last long with Robertson waiting in the wings after the next election.

BBC News - Junior doctors vote for strikes in England

Junior doctors going too. Also, for those not aware, a junior doctor is not the equivalent of a grad, they can have quite a few years experience and still be junior doctors. The Tories really have ****** up big time, we are getting closer to general strike territory.

We have gone from competing to be one of the most dynamic and prosperous nations in Europe to a crumbling mess and, with current trajectories, due to be overtaken by the Poles for GDP per capita within the next 7 years... Our wealth used to be closer to the USA before the Tories took power, now they are 50% above us. FFS how long can people excuse this?

Is he really a troll, though?

For me a troll is someone on a wind up who doesn't necessarily believe what he's saying but he's saying it to get a rise out of people.

He just seemed a tad conspiracy brained which is a trend you see it a lot of people these days.

Regardless, he's not someone you can have a reasoned debate with.
Yeah I was nit picking. And while I agree with you sometimes I think we have to at least try otherwise the alternative is people go further down the rabbit hole but yeah, probably nothing you could say that would change his mind. I wonder where he was from, not that it matters obviously
