"I believe our interests are best served by the Prime Minister getting on with the job of Government"
God I ******* hate this line so much. I swear if I ever meet my MP face to face and he says that I will lose it, they weren't "getting on with the job" before and were ******* everything up. Apparently all misconduct should be swept under the carpet so you can "get on with the job", good luck trying that in any other profession.
Pretty much told him what he said was nonsense and pointed out trust in BJ has irretrievably broken down. He must go!I believe a reply along the lines of:
"If you have neither the cognisance or intellect to recognise either lying or empty apologies, then it would sadly appear you are not competent enough to satisfactorily represent this constituency.
Unless of course you do recognise the Prime Minister's actions are entirely in self-preservation with all other considerations set aside, in which case you are morally unfit to represent this constituency"
May be in order.
No point being civil to someone when they are either lying to you or don't give a f*k about your view.
Tbh it's probably a copy and paste from his staff.Pretty much told him what he said was nonsense and pointed out trust in BJ has irretrievably broken down. He must go!
Doubt he'll reply but will post up if he does.
Good afternoon,
Thank you for sending me your thoughts regarding the publication of the Sue Gray report and the Vote of No Confidence which took place on Monday 6th June. I have previously expressed that I wanted to wait for the full report to be published before coming to a final decision, and since its publication I have considered all of my the opinions of my constituents in coming to a conclusive judgment.
Due to the weight of the evidence provided in the report and in previous weeks, I made the decision to vote against the Prime Minister.
My view was based on the fact that Boris Johnson's casual approach to the management of many people in 10 Downing Street during the Covid pandemic was unacceptable. Sue Gray's report detailed some of the activities which took place on his watch, and this is offensive to millions of people who had their freedoms restricted to the extent that, like me, they were not even able to visit their dying loved ones nor to properly grieve them. And his attempts to cover up this behaviour is what has disappointed many people. Honesty and integrity have to be paramount.
The fact that 148 MPs voted the way we did should send a message to Boris Johnson, and I hope that this has been enough to encourage the Prime Minister to reflect on the past few weeks and to respond accordingly.
I would like to thank you again for letting me know your views.
Kind regards,

So Johnson's first attempt to reset his premiership is to contribute more to the housing crisis in this country.
If there was a large stock of affordable housing this maybe it would help, but the biggest problem is a lack of housing mainly due to a combination of right to buy and successive governments not building enough housing. Tories have had over a decade to get building and they've done diddly squat. They are also well behind on their 2019 pledge to build more houses.
Just because people (and this definitely includes me) have difficulty keeping perspective on big numbers like this, or the oh-so-successfull Serco's Test&Trace, or....Rishi Sunak accused of wasting billions servicing government debt

Nice one Rishi.
He's been reading my posts!Just because people (and this definitely includes me) have difficulty keeping perspective on big numbers like this, or the oh-so-successfull Serco's Test&Trace, or....
£11Bn... if you spent £1 every second, day or night... it would take 350 years to burn through £11Bn (assuming zero interest on the reserve).
To do that in reverse with Serco T&T would take you back to before Alfred the Great, and almost certainly into Roman Britain (ETA, that's up to March 2021, it went on another year after that, so certainly into BCE dates).
Do the same with Brexit and Stonehenge was being built around the time Johnson forced his deal through parliament
It can't but as long as you need it then you and others will pay for it. But it's just not sustainable.Price of diesel at my Tesco has gone up 8ppl in a couple of hours. How can this be justified?
I read that 11% of all cars sold in March globally were full EVs, a 60% rise year on year. And that was before petrol prices got a bit silly. The Middle East autocrats are far less prepared to let the oil flow than they have been in the past, so it's time to kick them in the nether regions. The days of pandering to dictators who inherit natural resources could simply be put to bed if politicians were of a mind.It can't but as long as you need it then you and others will pay for it. This will just accelerate the move to EVs and renewables.
When I say accelerate I mean faster than if Russia had not invaded Ukraine.I read that 11% of all cars sold in March globally were full EVs, a 60% rise year on year.
