A Political Thread pt. 2

Well now it's back to those MPs who were withholding judgement until the investigation was done. Even if it's not finished surely the prime minister breaking his own law should settle it.

If Johnson had any sense of decency and morality he would resign.

If the Conservatives had any decency and morality they would get rid of him.

If they don't, anyone who continues to vote for them needs to look at their own sense of morality.

Hopefully Sunak decides he just doesn't need all the grief (after his Mrs was dragged into it) and resigns. He and his wife's family are minted and can easily enjoy life away from politics.
Yeah, for Rishi (and a lot of politicians tbf) politics is just a game to see how high up you can get
Rishi ain't gonna be PM with this over his head, so will he sack the lot in and bugger off to America or will he just sack off the Chancellor role and bugger off to the backbenches until it all blows over and he can make his move?

Yup this is the stage I'm at now no more whataboutism or the other side is just as bad. He's been found guilty (he might appeal it but he won't win) if you vote for him you literally do not care for the hardship people went through in various lockdowns beliving the PM above the own laws they set and I have no time for you.

Hard to see him ever going higher. Opponents now just go, vote for me, the other guy is a criminal.

Sajid Javid resigned as Chancellor (albeit under different circumstances) and was back in the cabinet 1-2 years later. Rishi would have more credit in the bank if he did the honourable thing and resigned before he was forced out. Some media were saying his chances of becoming PM were over at the weekend after the tax revelations so he might just cut his losses.

Imagine a leadership contest with Jeremy Hunt and Liz Truss making the final two. Just depressing.
Better than Raab and Truss seriously the fact Jeremy ******* Hunt really sounds like the best option out of likely winners just makes me want to cry. But compared to this shitshow I'll take what I can get right now.

Sky are reporting that Tory MPs are waiting to see what the 'public mood' is before deciding what to do. WTF! This shower has to go!

My mood ranges from ******* livid to having to relive mentally the tough decisions I made during that period. Which is par for the course when this comes up. I'm hoping Tory voters are similar, its my Tory voting father-in-law's birthday this weekend and I have to visit, praying to god they keep mouths shut because unsurprisingly I have reputation for biting if goaded. Hopefully they'll still be initial livid stage before complete forgiveness that happens every time.

Soon to be Ex Mrs. Johnson

So Cummings lost his job because he drove to a castle and stayed outside while she and her husband get away with a fine for partying indoors and playing ABBA's the Winner takes it all to celebrate his departure from No.10. Seems proportionate to me.
