No Furlong and Sheehan with only a few minutes in his legs are positives for England. As are no AF, an aging Ire and knowing we beat them last time out.

But a shaky defence, a new captain, away from home and missing Furbank, IFW, and Underhill won't help. Plus Ire thirsting for revenge.

Maybe not quite the daunting prospect it might have seemed a couple of years ago. But still looking at an Ire win by 7 - 12 points.

Weird fixture this year. A lot of confidence either sides fans can take into it is that the other team haven't looked too scary in awhile.

Ireland managed to grind out a lot of close wins last season and England did the opposite (apart from the fixture between the two ironically).

Furlong is a loss but I think we were in worse shape last year with Frawley playing most of the game at 15 after Nash knocked himself out in the opening phase of play, and Frawley then also knocking himself out pushing Fetish to the wing for the last 30 mins. Osborne and Prendergast have been good additions to the squad here (and underappreciated with certain fans' obsessions with blooding new players).

I think we're better than England and rightful favourites until they prove we're not, they didn't do that last year despite the Twickenham game.

If our lineout is 80% or better I expect us to win, probably with a bit of breathing room in the last 10. If not, our defence will always have us in games. Twickenham last year was the only time a team has scored more tries than us in a game since the first test of the 2022 New Zealand tour.

I have an akka on Wales, Italy and England winning. 0.25P for £130. Go big or go home as they say 😂
Love this, and anyone really can beat anyone.
I can see a long-shot England away win. I can even see a very long shot Wales away win, if they come raging out of the blocks and the crowd turn. I fear that Italy will let you down. Hope for your sake I'm wrong.

Those potato munching, leprechaun chasing, green wearing, Guinness drinking, funny dancing, sing-song speaking, bono producing bog trotters cannot hope to be anything like England.

Ireland by 15
Can't really fault them for many dancing from the land of morris dancing.

Ireland are favourites. My hope is that England's defence has a noticeable improvement. Having said that, it's a new system and this is the first game so there are bound to be issues.

England? Minnows, couldn't point to it on a map mate. Also never seen a map and can't read too good.

Should win it but I think they're a team who could probably rattle us a bit. Won't be too upset if we lose as long as I can use it as a stick to beat Leinster players with.

You'll be beating your stick to Leinster players again.
