[2024 Six Nations] Scotland vs England - 24/02/24

England tactics have to be questioned in that second half. Reverted to the weird Gatlandesque high ball kicking attack game and Scotland ate it up. I don't care what the % say, it took all the sting out of England. When England played a high tempo game they looked much better.

How good does IFW look mind? Outstanding.

Even more confusing since we saw what this should look lik in th first 5. Kicking to apply pressure followed by competent attack to finish it.

With no Anne I'm surprised they didn't get Butler to present the cup

I've been a big Steve Borthwick defender as I think his 2023 was a very good base performance...

But this England team is going backwards, to be fair to Borthwick some of those newer England players are limited, but he has to be more progressive in his selection!

Yes I agree, completely different type of kicking. It's the high ball from the half way type attack that's just not that effective. Why change a system that was working. They were very frustrating.

Not drop the ball so much?
What drops are you talking about? The lasers at his head? Steward wouldnt hav offered anything more, especially since scotland didnt attack with the kick as much. In fact his speed likely causes more issues when the blitz failed.

100% this.

England have only got worse since SB has taken over the England team. Result prove this. Not sure how anyone can deny it.

SB has made England worse and continually will do.
Because of the cost of sacking him only someone out of contract is likely affordable. The RFU can't afford sacking him and hiring an expensive replacement

He's been offering more so far in this comp

Offered a carry
Furbank was worth a try, but it isn't saints

Might as well start replanning now.
IFW to start, Freeman to 13, Smith to start,
Hopefully SB uses the next two games to blood young talent against proper, high class test opposition.

Unlikely though, as I suspect he'll be more focussed on making the scorelines look good to cover his arse.
