[2023 Six Nations] Ireland v England - 18 March 2023

It brings a question in how mitigation should be done.

Also the old age question of if should a 3rd card be in for reckless accidental issues
Brings me back to my suggestion that it should be either head has to be below the other's armpit.
Tackler's head has to be below BC's armpit OR (as in this case) tackler's armpit has to be above BC's head.

The point is to take heads away from each other, because that's the most dangerous, and an acceptance that keeping hips, knees, or in this case, passive elbows, away from heads is impossible.

JVP gets way too excited some times.

Sinckler was telling him to calm the **** down in the first half as he was desperately clawing at the ruck

Glad Keenan is off, will hopefully teach him not to run into people with his head. Red card or not Keenan would always have got injured entering contact like that.

I'm no referee but play that at full speed and I'd argue there was mitigation. With Keenan's movement and the bobbling ball. What Super Rugby's red card rules do well is if there is any uncertainty, it's a yellow and you get 10 mins to review it and upgrade it to red. I hope that element is adopted for the RWC.

The first half is why I didnt pick Ireland to win the 6N. If their level and/or intensity drops even a smidgen then the English and French packs can potentially starve them of penalties and quick ball. Still a rubbish prediction on my part, but method in the madness.

Don't know why we're overcomplicating things with **** offloads. Seriously costing us time and time again.
