2023-2024 transfers

Hence Archer getting 6 months and John Ryan near end. Salanoa will be late 2024 by time he sees the field. Oli J will be main man next year but nothing near close but there has been dialogue

Abrahams signing confirmed. Not the big money one we were teased (Jackman is full of shite, shock), but one I'm pretty pleased with. I've rated him from what I saw in the URC and out and out flyers are pretty rare in Ireland.

Obviously not the primary position I'd like a signing, but very solid.
Just need to teach him to tackle though. No questions on him in attack, but his defense is known to be very poor.

Doncaster leavers
Evan Mintern, Andrew Foster, Cam Terry, Charlie Beckett, Karl Garside, Seb Nagle-Taylor, Harrison Courtney, Jack Digby, Tom Doughty, Ehize Ehizode, Fyn Brown, Corrie Barrett & Harry Wilson, George Simpson, Joe Margetts, Sam Olver, Billy McBryde, Joe Bedlow, Jack Metcalf, AJ Cant & Aloisi Vereimi

Signed so far
Mulipola (Saracens)
Jasper Maguire (Saracens)
George Wacokecoke (Newcastle Falcons)
Cory Teague (Exeter)
Brendan Owen (Bath)
Zach Kerr (Falcons)
Morgan Bunting (Nottingham)
Fred Davies (Bristol)
Jordan Olowofela (Nottingham)
Joe Jones (Scarlets)

Def get the feeling Doncaster are targeting promotion.

Doncaster, Coventry, Ealing all seem to be building squads to similar levels

Come on Donny my hometown

Really good player, I was gutted when he left us and always hoped we'd sign him back

Sale's confirmed leavers:
Sam James (probably France but rumours of Japan)
Manu Tuilagi (France)
Cobus Wiese (SA)
Gus Creevy (Nowhere - rumours that Gloucester's Argentinian hooker is leaving this summer, maybe slot in there for a season?)
Telusa Veainu (rumours Pro D2)
Tom Ellis (Nowhere - imo would be a good fit for Gloucester)
Ewan Murphy (Nowhere)
Cal Ford (Nowhere - think he was on loan in the championship this season, maybe make that permanent?)
Cam Neild (Newcastle)
Finn Rogers (Nowhere - only 18 so I'm guessing it's an academy switch or maybe going uni elsewhere. Played for Wigan Warriors at age grade so could even be a switch back to league)

Sharks (SA) confirmed leavers:
Anthony Volmink (I'm guessing retiring)
Lionel Cronje (retired -> Sharks coaching)
Werner Kok (Ulster)
Le Roux Roets (Sale Sharks)
Curwin Bosch (Brive)
Aphiwe Dyantyi (Bulls)
Murray Koster (Nothing yet)
Boeta Chamberlain (Bulls)
Sikhumbuzo Notshe (Nothing yet)

The one I feel bad for there is Notshe. Covid probably had an unfair impact on him. He was their best player going into the Covid enforced break and may have had a way back into the Springbok fold with that Sharks team being at the top or right near the top of the Super Rugby log. Now surplus to requirements at the Sharks, with no real option at the Stormers to fall back to. Maybe has a shot with the Lions but does he want to go there? Potentially time to try the overseas options.

Sale Sharks really like buying locks from the Sharks this year.

Jake Henry has joined Coventry on a one-year loan from Edinburgh.

Jason Gilmore to become Quins defence coach.

Must say I've never heard of him

Only thing I know about him is that the Waratahs defence was one of the worse in Super rugby this year. But that could've very much been an environment issue.

I'm pretty sure he's quite highly rated in the Aus coaching systems though.

Perfect fit for us then …
