2023-2024 transfers

Oli Morris also signs for Munster until seasons end. Worcester fans, anything you can tell me?

That's overstating things.
They have the legal right to do so - and now (re)starts the process of planning permission in a world heritage site.

Not sure what that's got to do with transfers though.

Ahhhh gotcha...nothing to do with Transfers, just thought id ask whilst the thread was talking about Bath....

We've had planning permission for the North Stand for about 4 years now...and i highly doubt that will be getting done anytime soon.

Fair enough - tend to keep stadium talk (and bitching about injuries) in the Bath thread.

Doesn't planning permission have a "use by" date? Or is it that once granted, it;s a formality to re-grant?

In the current climate, I doubt that Bath will be too displeased about a longer planning negotiation (as in 1-2 years, not 6-10 that might be the case), but I also suspect that Bruce and Dyson will get it built pretty quickly once granted.

Could be injury cover this year and a long term deal thereafter with bath planning to release some players whose contracts are coming to an end next year.

That would fit them in if they've got players contacts ending this year.

Planning permission does usually have a use by date but you can get round this by starting the works (any little bit really) and then the date doesn't matter.

Very handy, young player, loves a big hit in defence
Yeah he's still very young, which is greta! Irish qualified of course, so he could easily earn himself a full contract here if that's what he wants. We're strapped for centers

Funny you pick out his defensive qualities. I'd have said he's much better in attack than he is in defence. My summary would have been quick, good feet, runs nice lines.

Saw Brad Shields has gone to Perpignan as well

Edit: Koch also to Stade Francais and Robin Hislop to Saracens

Fully agree with you, can add that too. I more meant he goes for the big hit, needs to work on his system defence

Mad one, that - especially as he's almost definitely marquee so it wouldn't free up cap-space to pick up any Wuss/Wasps players they have their eyes on

I mean they already have west and they are rumored to have jantijes soon (apparently he is off to rehab).

Well good thing I already have a Toulon shirt, let's go.

Doesn't really matter - they can simply shift their next best, eligible player into the marquee spot (It's not something written in concrete in advance).
As he's transferred, rather than sacked or loaned, then (assuming Toulon are paying him a similar or higher salary) then only the salary up to the end of October would count towards the cap. Of course, IF Toulon are paying his less; then the balance would be paid by Saints, and count towards the cap.

Saint have just freed up a fair old wedge to take on Wuss / Wasps players this season.

I'm guessing that Biggar and Lawes are their two marquees, Biggar leaving would mean they'd drop down to one as the single-marquee-player-law came into effect from the start of the 22/23 season

I'd forgotten some clubs would still have 2 big tents; and wouldn't have known who those clubs were - so yeah, not helping then.
