Ross is not a top top shelf 10 but could do alot worst. He is a very good 10. Will be interesting to.see how he goes there. Just with backs and style they play he is a different type of 10

Yeah. This is the confusing bit for me. Gloucester have had a real resurgence this season playing an expansive brand of rugby whereas Ross Byrne has always struck me as more of a conservative type of 10. I wouldn't have thought he'd be the kind of 10 to fit into their current system.

Having said that, some of the wrap around type plays they have are a little Leinster like so perhaps it's more systematic than it looks

True but Ross looked good doing them as he was surrounded by much better players. Leinster is international level. Gloucester is not there. ANd as was said to me of a lad like Ross. For me though he is a good 10 and superb kicker usually.

I really hope not I actually do rate him.

Would be a logical replacement for Kelly but a bit surprising given he's getting decent game time and Tigers haven't yet got a coach for next season.

I'd be hesitant about moving in that scenario, what if the new guy doesn't want you?

From 2020 - 2023 when Sexton only made celebrity appearances for Leinster, Ross was effectively first choice with a gameplan that suited him. He was great until it came to playing other top European teams regardless of the rest of Leinster's lineup.

If he is given the reigns at Gloucester, he'll do very well I think.

I think he is a good 10. It is, as you say, just that top 3 or 4 elite teams he struggled but a very capable 10
