2022 World Cup - Qatar

Good finish.

And now Portugal are motoring. Thought he might have been just offside but given.

Went to sleep there. Let's see how much stoppage time there is.

Almost threw it away at the end.

Next up let's see how Brazil do.

Feels like there is a bigger gulf between contenders and others this time around. Portugal don't even look to be on the same level as Spain or England.

starting to think that the November World Cup will be good for the bigger nations. Playing after a summer break and before the Champions League knockout stages means that the guys playing in tough competitions won't be as knackered.

I think come May next year there'll be loads of injured players, especially in the Premier league.

For all the talk of Messi/Neymar/Ronaldo going into this tournament they've all been poor in the opening round

Can chuck Kane and Bale in that as well, tbf, though they're not on that level

Same again for England tomorrow night.

First round of matches competed for each group. Most impressed by Spain, England, France, Brazil. Holland eventually finished off good opposition in Senegal.

Bring on the second round of the group stages.
