2021 British & Irish Lions Squad

Being "shorter" (I prefer squat) relatively speaking means its easier to be maneuverable and also your more concentrated mass is hitting guys lower and you can drive into the collision without trying to pump long limbs up and down. He is essentially a cannonball with boots.

What's noticeable here is the number needed to put him down when he's got the ball (especially Welsh).

What's not shown is he is a tackle machine as well.
If i recall correctly, the highlights v wales were in a 20 minute cameo off the bench on return from injury. He broke about 10 tackles in that time

I pretty sure he broke the 6 nations record for amount of tackles broken in those 20 minutes.

Duhan is definitely copping some studs in every breakdown he's involved in - gonna look like swiss cheese by the time he makes it home

Also apparently the last thing Faf said to Tom Curry before they left for their respective training camps was
"Remember the win against Quins? How good it felt?"
"Yes"
"Well keep hold of that because it's the last win you're getting this season"
lol

He was far more intimidating before he set himself on fire having a BBQ like a You've Been Framed clip
If the fucker gets injured one more time trying to use Duhan as a grass strimmer or something.......

I think joining Munster was the moment he lost it to be honest.

Although you have to credit what a massive **** up POM is. Gifted Wales the 6n ensuring a huge Welsh contingent and couldn't even injure his own player bad enough so he's not available for the Lions. Class act.

Yeah to be fair, imagine dropping and breaking something worth hundreds of thousands of euros. Now imagine that thing is a person.

That's really strange one.
I suppose they had to make a decision on the weekend before they flew out but Ireland medical team was unsure if it would be one week out or three?

To give some undeserved fairness POM was doing press yesterday which suggests there was still doubts about Ryan late in the day.

That Gatland still made a bad decision.

Personally I think Gatland was just using it as an excuse it's why he gave a crap reason for him missing the original squad.
Ryan is a very different player to Beard and AWJ. Gats clearly has a game plan in mind hence why Gray wasn't even called up.

Yeah Galtand has a very clear bias towards bigger heavier locks for this tour. Which actually makes it more perplexing for me that Gray wasn't picked.

Welsh or English or Samoan or South African v Not Welsh and not English and not Samoan and not South African

It's an easy formula, keep up.

Yeah I never bought the injury reasoning from Gatland, especially since the Lions announced it before the Irish setup. Ryan would not have needed to play immediately upon arrival in SA and Ryan was either going to be fit for Saturday or miss out by a day like Fagerson last week. I don't think Gatland wanted to pick Ryan after what he said in the press.
