Thought this was ****** when I first read it but I wouldn't bet against it. He doesn't often get injured but when he does he's usually back a few weeks before expected.

I know it was a long time ago but I watched the 2013 3rd test the other night and AWJ was great and I was expecting similar levels.

Expect the worst hope for the best. Though for most on here that will be hoping he doesn't recover in time. Lol.

Ryan and Gray wasn't picked because Gatland knows that they are more likely to impress during the pre test games, and it would be harder to just slot AWJ back should he be fit.
Beard is the definition of solid player won't really lose you a game but no one will notice him at all.

I think you're onto something and the same may well apply to giving the captaincy to Murray. Give it to an easy going affable scrum half who's going to roll over and have his belly tickled when AWJ rolls into town.

Gatland is far too worried about players post rugby careers, like Sexton. Thus AWJ cannot come back and play, too dangerous

Ironically Gatland said he didn't pick Sexton because of durability concerns. I can see it now in green neon lights - "JOHNNY SEXTON" (sponsored by DUREX). A match made in heaven.

Bollix. Hopefully just a little strain. Navidi and Watson on the flanks can definitely do the job but would be gutted to not see Curry.
