[2020 Autumn Nations Cup] England vs France (06/12/20)

Imagine we'd probably be winning if I'm honest...
It's a problem everyone is telling you you only turn up to win but this is a young French side with clearly a fair bit of talent. A first half like that is almost to be expected and we've left 8-10 points out there.

Too many stupid penalties and England don't look like they can be bothered. England in completely the wrong mindset and not fired up for this game at all. The lack of vision in this side is worrying, many of the players seem completely oblivious of where the space is and only ever look for where they can kick to.

Also Farrell has had a string of poor performances now with no redeeming bits. He isn't even hitting the penalty kicks any more. He needs to be dropped until he finds form again because he is a liability, there's simply no 2 ways about this any more.
And yet we know that these players do have vision and an awareness of space (especially Ford, Slade and the back3). It can only be coaching that they're not trusted to show that, and are being required to have a kick-first mindset.

Expect us to come out in the second half with a changed mindset of "don't panic, trust the system, plan B is plan A with better execution"
This may or may not work.
Either way, it won't be pretty.

ETA: Zero line breaks by England - that's attitude, not skillset

Still fuming just kicked possession away at the 5 meter line...

Eddie's sub tactics have been shocking and not helpful at all for all the autumn games.

Wrong tactics, wrong selection, wrong subs.

Why doesn't Daly draw a man before he kicks? I don't understand it.

edit: or when he passes it seems.
