[2018 6 Nations] Round 5 : England v Ireland (17/03/2018)

Seriously, what is happening?

We might as well call it here cause this is a joke.
We're terrible, This referee is beyond a joke. There's nothing to be gained from continuing this farce

Literally the weakest penalty I've ever seen
Itoje swipes at the ball, misses and touches the arm. Doesn't hold the arm, grab the arm, drag the player down, isn't in contact for more than half a second
Yet it's a penalty

He's essentially saying it's an instant penalty to compete in the lineout

You don't help yourself when you've already done a very blatant one. As Schmidt coaches it's all about the picture you give the ref.

So has the in goal area not been extended by 2 metres then that ball would have gone dead and we'd have had 22 drop out. Yep, what a way to hand a try to Ireland.

Not a knock on.

For the sake of balance after the first try ... with Watson at fullback that wouldn't have been a try

Seems like Gardener wants to be known as the ref who reffed an Ireland Grandslam. It's beyond ridiculous! Ireland have been better, but maybe 3 points better. What's the point in turning up if the ref is aiming to get a certain result.

I thought it touched his finger on the first replay but the other angles showed no knock on.
England on track for 4th/5th place finish. If France beat Wales it'll be 5th. Who'd have thought. Did even Lancaster lose three in a row?

For the record I think it probably went forward off Robnoxious, but that one at half time went nowhere near his hand and he was being tackled early regardless.
