How do you go from 24-0 to 27-40-odd! Typical Cheetahs. Only they can manage that.

pretty crazy, it was 24 - 0 after only like 22 minutes so it wasn't a miracle comeback. the Chiefs just won the last 3 quarters and did it at a canter, it seemed pretty composed and well orchestrated.

Sam McNicol was handy in midfield, Liam Messam had a very good game. Cruden and TKB were good. McKenzie was his usual self, his year has been remarkable really... Generally it was just a good team effort, they didn't panic at all.

Always find it strange in SA when they name man of the match. The commentary on a whole was pretty interesting, it was ok though a bit boring. The crazy thing is it seemed like it was just one guy doing the commentary and he even did the interviews after the game? So strange compared to the NZ coverage which has 2 main commentators, a sideline commentator +analysts/former players who cut in as well and another guy who does the interviews then a post match team.... The Aussies are similar as well, maybe not quite as many people chipping in but still...

We usually have 2 guys doing commentary per language per match. But remember that we have more than 1 official langauge, and at the moment we have 3 commentary teams for every match, even the overseas matches in Super Rugby. We have English, Afrikaans and IsiXhosa commentary, so in essence we need 6 commentators per game.

This year, there has been a lot of matches where just one guy is at the stadium and then we have one of the studio panelists, like Warren Brosnihan commenting from the studio with the other guy at the stadium, filling the void for several matches.

But I see that Supersport is busy looking for more commentators, asking the public to go for auditions this month.

Joel Stransky is an absentee at the moment after he punctured his lung doing the Cape Epic Mountain Bike tour.
Hugh Bladen has also been absent for a while but has returned to commentate the last 3 weeks.
