[2017 RBS Six Nations] Round 5: France vs Wales (18/03/2017)

How the **** have Wales been allowed to wind the clock down like toys ams not very another yellow? This final few mins has been a **** poor advert for rugby. Cynical gamesmanship.

Has it ever happened before that somone has gotten a yellow after 80 and still come back on before the game is over?

This is getting beyond stupid....

Surely that's a penalty try!

If we ever have to see that again it will be way too soon, Welsh will be peeved.

Wales absolutely killed that game, and extended it by 20mins by wasting time.

Really dislike the manner some of their players behave.

Finally it ends! I'm glad France won because we are just papering over the cracks! Now it's over , definitely time for a change , defense is always good but we waste far too much in attack , a new attack coach is needed and howley need to leave via the nearest exit along with his mate gatland

Love how the narrative changed to wales getting screwed over. Maybe score more than 6 when the ref hands you a power play.

Not sure why you blame the welsh players. Yes they were giving away penalties, but it's up to Barnes to do doing something about it! Every side in international rugby gives a penalty away in those situations instead of just allowing the opposition to score and win the match!

Barnes may have been able to give a penalty try on one or two occasions, but decided against it. Ironically Brian Moore thought France transgressed first in those two scrums that were going forwards by standing up. Not sure myself though, would have personally accepted a penalty try.

I'm very suspicious of Antonio going off for a head assessment. France were only in the ascendancy scrum time when Slimani was on the field. Very odd imo.

Definitely don't feel screwed over and who gave you that idea? We deserved to lose and France deserved the win just about , in hindsight that clearance cost us big time when the ball went all the way dead but this is a blessing in disguise the WRU need to wake up and grow some balls, maybe now they will finishing 5th is unacceptable and while gatland is holidaying in a lions tour it's doubly unacceptable. Grow some ****ing balls and sack the people that need to be WRU. on another note France showed some glimpses of them possible returning to their former selves. Good to see a decent french outfit come back they have talent in abundance

Barnes asked the tighthead if he was okay before the doctor came out. I think that was legitimate if the ref thought something was wrong before the team did something.

Barnes really couldn't have given a penalty try for any of the scrims in the last couple of minutes. He could have given yellow after yellow though.

We causing ourselves problems. Feeling like 2011 all over again.

Because blaming 'the Welsh' is fashionable, did you not know this??

not that wayne barnes was extending the game at all.

I thought we were very wasteful in attack today, although our defence was great.

stiil changes needed I'm sure you agree, no good paper over the cracks

To be fair Wales clearly didn't want to scrummage and then moment they went down to 14 men you could see they just wanted to kill time. Some deliberate early engagements for example knowing it would just be a free kick and that it could lead to an infinite regression until France in theory made a mistake.
But having said that I completely agree and any team would do the same in the situation and its Barnes who needed to be stricter. He could have cut that whole farce down by at least half.

Re. Antonio I agree, especially as he seemed to be holding his stomach when he went off?
