[2017 RBS Six Nations] Round 1: England vs. France (04/02/2017)

On that last play:
1) didnt Hughes knock it on
2) ball was no longer emerging after Hughes and French 9 played it
3) the only infraction would be if Hughes had dived on it (or French 9) before either had touched it

Can I just take the time to say that just stating that by the letter of the law the ref was correct isn't very helpful because I'm pretty sure we are all on the same page that if rugby refereeing doesn't take account of contextual and mitigating factors then the sport will continue to head in a bad direction. Just because some precedent has already been set by world rugby directives doesn't mean it's good and saying I understand why we made that decision is not helpful

Some of the last ditch tackling from the back three has been outstanding.
Though they shouldn't be put in the situation that they have to be making those tackles, our defence has been poor.

Wouldn't be adverse to having Teo on for Ford not too long into the 2nd half.

Poor all round, nobody slowing down French ball and wood showing why we should get rid of the old guard, bloody penalty machines.

Ford hasn't done anything other than pass one off, I thought he'd prefer alot looser play. Hopefully the whole team gets a kick up the ass
