[2016 RBS Six Nations] Round 3: England vs. Ireland (27/02/2016)

Not the best England Ireland game in recent times. Ireland played with no ambition at all in the first half and seemed to just want to tackle and defend. Opened up in the second half but i worry about England's defense, first up tackling wasn't the best and Ireland looked dangerous to often for my liking.

Aye, I did start worrying about that. I'm happy to write some of it off on fatigue though. The front five played a lot longer than they usually do: Cole and Itoje played the full 80, Kruis 77, and Hartley 71 minutes. Marler came off after 60 and they were a man down for 20 minutes.

Also slightly annoyed the clean sheet went with Murray's try.

Favourite Poite highlight was chief sheriff Nigel telling him he was wrong. Though Barnes < Poite going off the last fixtures. It's all these damn stoppages confusing the inbuilt biases. England will get pinned even more now.

Well a deserving loss. England looked comfortable for most of the match. Ireland's type of attritional game suits them down to the ground.

The new players played well I thought. One consolation.

If you want to watch a decent game, Racing v Castres on Sky 5 is looking better than any in the 6N this year so far!!

Racing v castres doesn't quite have the drama of a international though does it? Hence why we watch internationals.. No?
