[2015 TRC] South Africa v New Zealand in Johannesburg (25/07/2015)

Ouch.

I don't think Cornal Hendricks is strong enough to be a test match regular. He's lethal, but when you compare what Piutau's done with his physicality and what Hendricks has, so often struggling just to stay in, that's a pretty big swing right there.

Incredible match though. Hope the Saffas have the fitness to keep it up.

Think the score line flatters us at halftime to be honest, SA have played more footy.

Agreed. Can't believe it's level. Springboks have been the better side and pretty much won everything on the floor. But still great try by the ABs right on the stroke of halftime.

Yep lucky for us theres another half to right the wrongs. There were so many wrongs in that first half its not even funny.

Test matches at this venue are just so special atleast its great to watch.

RSA needed to be well in front score wise to hold off the ABs second half performance. Should be game over from here, ABs by 20.

Great game by Sopoaga so far, that pass was brilliant. A bit concerned about the tight five, SA looked better in the first half. Can't understand why Aaron is so slow sometimes at the breakdown, there were a couple of turnovers derived from his hesitance to get the ball out of the ruck.

Again, Piutau looked really good and I was wondering if Savea could be converted into playing 14 and have Ben at fullback.

This is where our great impact bench will make their mark, big 2nd half. It will take a lot for the Saffas to keep up that intensity and Hansen will rile the guys up. We were definitely the 2nd best team in that half.

So happy for Lima as well, he's a confidence player and he's doing well.

Also I like what Aaron tries to do, but it was a certain 3, take it, especially in RWC finals footy.

Yep I do think the ABs better bench will win it for them in the 2nd half.

Anyway, game on can't wait for the 2nd half.

Iv always said A Smith is poor behind any AB pack thats been beat and we were beat in the first half. It doesnt happen often but when it does he tends to look woeful. But thats why we have physically stronger halfbacks like Peranara and TKB to come on as replacements.

How goods Piutau been though? He's a 100% starter I feel.

I agree. Cornal is 1.88 m and weighs only 90kg. For the test level he should weigh at least 95 kg, the perfect weight for him would among 98-105 kg. He's very thin for this level

That wAs incredibly lazy defence from Nonu and Smith. Jesus they're supposed to be our two experienced guys

What a try!!! Jesse Kriel

Boks 17 - ABs 10

48 minutes

Great try, super angle from Kreil but the delay and pass from Pollard made it. He's had a super game today.

As I said earlier. Get Fekitoa on for that 1st 5 2nd 5 combination! Massive defender as well.
