[2015 Six Nations] Ireland vs England (Round 3)

I am about to lose my rag in a major, Brian Moore-esque, Malcolm Tucker-cussing, nerd ragetastic way. There have been so many really craptacularly dumb decisions killing England's momentum that I'm beyond words. You cannot win a test match slipping up on those small details again and again. I don't want to dismiss the quality of the Irish play but that is the big difference right now and England have to either smarten and tighten up for the next 40 minutes or we might as well not bother coming back out for the next half.

Anyone remember Lancaster's big thing about discipline at the start of his reign? Yeah? Where's that gone?

Fuming.

Never thought I'd say his ...but kinda want twelvetrees on to take some pressure off Ford's kicking. Goode offering no attacking threat as per usual- we miss Brown (oh for trying Pennell). Haskell and Attwood seem to be going backwards with the indiscipline, having said this, I don't think Ireland are as good as being made out to be- if England can play keep ball for a bit they should win.

Burrell isn't the answer for 12.
He's doing okay on the crashball, made some decent dents in the midfield, but he doesn't have to the top two inches.
He's technically got the skills to get the passes and offloads away, but he doesn't seem to know when to give them.

@Peat Take it easy old chap! They will be ok!!

Discipline and decision making has been crap, bring on twelvetrees. Missing lawes in the line out more in this game than the others.

Ok the ref has not reffed the breakdown at all well. However, Ireland putting us under a lot of pressure and I'm glad it's only 9-3 tbh. We need to stop giving away stupid penalties.

Not sure what the ref has done majorly wrong tbh. Or Burrell.

Tony - you'll need a lot more brandy to persuade me of that.

Close game as predicted. Both teams making mistakes but not a bad game at the same time. The start of the second half will tell a lot about how this match will go.

Maybe it's my English bias speaking but I've seen at least 2 times where Irish players have been given penalties/stolen the ball whilst clearly not supporting their own bodyweight when jackaling.

This.

Plus I'm also just disappointed because with Goode at the back we don't look like doing anything with the ball. He just marches inevitably into contact, has no ability to beat a man.

People still maintaining that Youngs' box kicking is good enough?

He's just hitting and hoping, and it's always going away from where our chasers are giving Ireland plenty of time on the ball.

How the hell did Goode make it back to the 22 from that?!

Didn't Robshaw fumble that because Bowe had a hand on his shirt as he ran past?

That was a great hit from McGrath on Arrwood.

How did we not get Goode behind the line?
