Yeah I'd quite like that squad tbh. Although maybe Simpson to start and Ashton to be shackled to the bench...

I wonder if Gibson will ever get a cap?

Dickson is captain so will start.

I reckon Gibson will move to another club.

Quins must be worried if Marler Easter, Robshaw, Care and Brown are all with England.

And once again playing with such an exciting back line in a game that will be a mud bath!

I hope we get Slade at ten. He isn't a long term prospect at 13 IMO, very good there at Prem level but internationally he could be a future 10 superstar.

And Nowell has been good, so it was a fairly straight forward swap.

I don't agree with having Robshaw, Haskell and Clarke yet omitting Kvesic.

Kvesic should have been looking to get starting game time against Italy and maybe Scotland

Robson has been excellent for Gloucester but then so has Simpson at Wasps and Dickson at Northampton.

Great looking Saxons side (always seem to say this) and hopefully the weather and pitch hold to give us a great game.

I do think Hill is unlucky to miss out as well as he has been consistently great for Exeter but then partly down to the noise surrounding Burgess.

Gibson too but we have so much talent you almost need a third XV run out....

Was hoping to see jamie George and auterac in the Saxons squad.

1. Auterac
2. George / Gray
3. Sinklair
4. Stooke / Matthews
5. Robson / Patterson
6. Gibson
7. Wallace
8. Dickinson
9. Robson / Cook
10. Burns
11. Strettle
12. Hill
13. Hooper
14. Sharples
15. Miller

4 fly half's? Wtf that all about does that mean Steve diamond has sweet talked SL into letting Cips in the team so he doesn't bugger off to France or more likely they have Farrell junior down as an inside centre?

Back line for the Wales game:

9.Young's
10.ford
11.may
12.Farrell
13.Barrett
14.Watson
15.brown

You heard it here first folks

Lucky to be in the senior squad:
Billy Twelvetrees
Nick Easter
Callum Clarke
Tom Wood
Alex Goode
Richard Wigglesworth

Unlucky not to be in:
Matt Kvesic
Rob Webber
Joe Simpson

I'm not sure if Cips can play in the Saxons game since he is in the England senior squad....but here's a good looking team:

Mullan
Webber
Brookes
Itoje
Garvey
Ewers
Kvesic
Waldrom
Simpson
Cipriani
Yarde
Devoto
Slade
Wade
Pennell

In Lancaster's interview he says that they'll evaluate Easter's performance in training and Waldrom's performance for the Saxons and make a decision about who's gonna be involved against Wales.

I'd add Slade, Brookes, Mullan and possibly Ewers to the unlucky ones.

That's Nick Easter for the 'impact' bench I suppose. I would put Haskell, Kvesic or Ewers on the bench before him.

Just looked again at the squad and realised there are only 2 tighthead props? I was under the impression that Cole was not available for the first game? I agree that it is harsh on Brookes though... Mako/Corbs and Brookes on the bench would make a great impact.
I actually think that Yarde is a little unlucky, because his form is improving and he has always performed well for England- I understand Nowell getting picked though.

Pretty much as expected, really.

Disappointed to see Goode there, but with Tait heading to France and Foden crocked it was always on the cards.
