2014 Six Nations: Ireland vs Scotland (Round 1)

Most biased team of all time. Where DOC and the Bull? Schmidt clearly has his head in the clouds, time for a change of management. I propose Frankie Sheehan and the writing staff of the Irish Examiner.
At least bias still fresh up there.

Kinda over it down here but hope we can get win and fresh start. Weather is poor and will suit game Scots want to play. Think we've enough class in pack to win it

Would agree it's a decent team but after seen games today we are at a level I think where we can beat anyone but we won't hammer anyone

It was a joke.

PO'C out with a chest infection, Tuohy in and presumably Henderson to bench. That's really ****ing annoying, Tuohy's been playing really well, but you know...PO'C. Toner's just become a lot more important.

Happy for Tuohy and Henderson, but what a blow that is. Who will call the line outs then?

I think we are still ok. Our balance is still right. We needed a Tuohy/Henderson there for bulk.
Still think it'll be tight but we should still be ok today and if there was 1 game where we could afford to loose POC it's this as a player but leadership wise it'll be a lot worst.

Tuohy could call them as well. Not saying he should, but he could, and would if Toner went off. Here's hoping he goes well, this is the chance he deserves, up to him and the other Ulster players to justify the fans' calls.

How was that a penalty?!
The Irish 7 made no attempt to get the ball, he cleared out/over the ball, but the Scottish player didn't hold on to it, just had it presented.
Annoys me when penalties are given like that.

It'd be sound if we could commit some numbers to the breakdown.

Think it was given on the player still going for the present while Henry had hands on the ball (present moved it away). Correct? Not sure, but can see where the ref is coming from on the replay.

LOL

That was a very clear demonstration of how bad Scrum officiating can be... the touch judge was 5 metres away and he didn't see the Scottish prop binding on Healey's arm.

For my eyes Henry didn't actually touch the ball though. Put his hands down either side of it and continued driving forward(/round, as he ended up going 90 deg).

RTE trying to talk up BOD's failed offload, despite the fact that it was clearly the wrong to do.

12 less carries than Scotland 14 more metres made.

Just sums up Scotland's attacking game.

Concur with this.

How does a giraffe roll away from under a pile of bodies? At least the ref admitted it's difficult but meh.

I thought I saw hands on and I thought I saw him chase after the present happened with hands on. But might be wrong. I'm not sure I'd have given it on what I saw anyway, it happened very quick. Mindyou, Joubert can be very hair trigger in the breakdown, and that at least goes both ways.
