2014 Six Nations: England vs Ireland (Round 3)

man, was just thinking. Our teams in the NH are really shaping up nicely, come to think about it. England is as threatening as we've seen them for a long, long time. Ireland is looking fantastic atm. This match here will be such a huge indicator of things to come and of the actual current levels of those two sides.

France better pull their sht together soon, because though there are very good elements there are also fairly BAD elements too...

Wales just got their place in the IRB ranking yoinked by the Oirish...and seem like perhaps the only not so bright spot for 6N sides along with Scotland who've sunk to start off the year...that will be assessed when France come over for a spicy soirée in Cardiff, I for one am not burying them yet...at all.

Just sayin, we're starting to look good for that RWC in a year and some.

Strange how 2 years change.

Regards England Cole is out and now there's a panic as to who will be available.
And Ireland now instead of playing a LH prop there we have to decide between the declining Ross or learning Moore with 1 or 2 behind them who are useful too.

Regards Cole, wish him all the best as I never like to see a guy get injured and well the fact it's an injury to a part of body he needs desperately to be 100% for his position is disappointing too. But again hopefully he recovers fully and makes a strong return.

Regards the game, for some reason I always thought Healy had Coles number even at scrum time but now I worried as it's simply a case of expecting the unexpected now

Regarding cole I don't think Healy had his number at all . Got frustrated and started stamping last year . Cole is a match for anyone in the world . We are praying Wilson will be fit now or we are in the **** big style

oh shhhhiiiiiiit. Just heard the news. Cole ruled out of the 6N ?...that just sucks, you don't ever want to see a team weakened by injury, whether you support it or not...plus was really eager to seeing Cole vs Healy, and Eng vs Ire in a scrum in general.....

Sucks badly...........you guys want Ducalcon ??

That was more of a reflection of the match as a whole to be honest but you're correct Healy didn't have his number. He has probably come out the best of the two in their meetings but it's a fine margin between them. Cole is obviously a huge loss for England with such an unfortunate and delicate injury. I hope he returns next season fit and well rested, he certainly needs it.

time for England to start poaching some Georgian tightheads or ??....

Good job Henry Thomas got those 3 mins last week against Scotland.

Wilson did not look fit in Bath game yesterday.

As if this England team didn't have enough injuries already.

well, since you bring this up....it would be nice if you could lose B. Vunipola. He's just too powerful of a ball carrier, and I'm just not very happy with him playing...
but that's it though, I've fairly indulgent requests you'll find...

Zebo has taken some fall from grace. No doubt his off field antics are hurting him, I watched the Zebre game and the commentator eluded to Zebo arriving to the ground with music blasting from his car and they could hear it up in the gantry.. Think someone should pull him aside for a chat as Joe wont take any of that capre..

How is listening to music something that the Irish coach should have an issue with. Off field antics, please what are these off field antics?

Zebo has just come back from injury and is playing well, scoring tries and creating a buzz when he gets the ball. Surely that should be what is considered, not his music. All this rubbish about his try celebrations is silly. Just look at his tries last weekend at 00.20 and 00.35:

In addition look how he acts after the win:

I'd back pretty much any HC level winger to score those tries against Zebre.

Then perhaps consider his other tries against Northampton etc. Fact is he is perhaps the closest thing Ireland have to a southern hemisphere type winger and always looks to spark something when he gets the ball. He can also cover full-back and is quite reasonable there.

When people say he has a fall from grace it is unfair for numerous reasons, not to mention his injury.

As impressive as a hat-trick in a HC game is, you can hardly claim any of them were gold standard tries.

He's a good player, but overrated by many IMO.

His off field antics are well documented.. Nothing wrong with listening to music but blasting it out only makes you look a clown. I wouldn't get carried away with those tries either, I am more interested in his defense and that hasn't impressed me a whole pile..that said he has the ability no doubt but he is his own worst enemy. Also word is he is on a mr nice guy PR campaign which might be the start of it. But if commentators are laughing at you arriving to the ground thats not a great start is it...
