2014 Six Nations: England vs Ireland (Round 3)

To be fair maybe Jordi Murphy is more suited for England than TO'D?

Given Henderson is the likely bench lock it does point to us wanting ball carrying impact off the bench. Although TO'D is a good enough carrier, Murphy is possibly faster and has a longer range of passing. Looks like we could be looking to really up the tempo in the final quarter. This is of course speculation but I can see it happening.

This isn't me supporting the call btw, just trying to understand the reasoning. I've learnt by this stage to give any call made by Schmidt a chance before condemning it.

Maybe Murphy can eat my ****. No one and I mean NO ONE ****s with the Bird O'Donnell. Typical example of The Leinster+IRFU military industrial complex.
Thanks Obama!

If this happens I'll be very worried. Murphy didn't look comfortable at HEC level for Leinster.

It seems rumour is true as TOD and Ryan are on our provisional squad. Of course it may be changed but it seems Jordi a Murphy and Henderson are benching. As I said I think Murphy is a good player but still not ready yet.

Murphy does seem overhyped, mainly due to the fact that people were looking for a silver lining when it looked like SO'B and Heaslip were leaving, and one very good performance inflated his profile hugely. Still if he plays well I can't really complain and I'd be happy to be proved wrong. I cant see why O'Donnell was dropped though, he's been a standout for Munster, and hasn't put a foot wrong at International. It is a bit soon for D.Ryan as of yet, he'll need another game to be a genuine contender and I'm chuffed to see Henderson make the squad if true. As you may have been able to tell I like big ball carriers, and I'd like to see the Baby Faced Destroyer get substantial gametime for Ireland soon.

Still surprised how Goode can remain on the bench.

I just hope he doesn't leave that bench whilst the game is being played. He's a complete liability and is doing an Ashton on us.

I think your first sentence sums it up pretty well, I think he has good potential but he was looked at as a backrow savior over a couple of weeks. Credit ot him he played well but I think people got a little ahead of himself.

It's not like we're playing England anyway. After all Tuilagi is Samoan and he's their best player (even if he literally can't pass and just runs at things).

I can't believe people still come out with this bo-loks....

Some context might help you to understand that comment friend!

Ireland team remains the same with the rumored addition of Murphy in place of TOD true. I really don't understand the decision tbh I guess squad depth? Both players are quite similar TOD is just more developed.

I can't read afrikaans so struggle with what the irish post.
In that case I shall phrase it in terms a simple Englishman such as you can understand.
U fukn wot m8? Cum at me 1V1 and Ill hook you in the gabber you cheeky litl prick! Oh my days you are one ded man! Cumin at you like a truck on the A40.

Don't like the fact Henderson is covering second row, but I guess that's what's going to happen with lack of depth there and strength in the backrow.
Heres the team anyway;

Ireland: 15 Rob Kearney, 14 Andrew Trimble, 13 Brian O'Driscoll, 12 Gordon D'Arcy, 11 Dave Kearney, 10 Johnny Sexton, 9 Conor Murray, 8 Jamie Heaslip, 7 Chris Henry, 6 Peter O'Mahony, 5 Paul O'Connell (c), 4 Devin Toner, 3 Mike Ross, 2 Rory Best, 1 Cian Healy.
Replacements: 16 Sean Cronin, 17 Jack McGrath, 18 Martin Moore, 19 Iain Henderson, 20 Jordi Murphy, 21 Isaac Boss, 22 Paddy Jackson, 23 Fergus McFadden.
