2014 Six Nations: England vs Ireland (Round 3)

They started as soon as project players came about!

It's not a very common one though. I'd say you'll have to wait for actual project players to be in the team for a 6N or World Cup. Until then we'll just be the plucky Irish underdogs everyone loves...

The stereotype of Ireland nicking foreign players has been around long before project players!

Pah, I look forward to the day that changes then.
You and Scotland are the only real poachers in rugby - even Scotland isn't as bad as you lot as they look abroad for qualified players, whereas you lot shop abroad and offer them an ireland shirt down the line when they qualify.

You're almost as bad as the All Blacks.
For shame!

Literally have no idea what this is on about.

Irish football team of he early 90's was made up, almost exclusively, of English and Scots! We had an Italian too.

Josh Strauss? WP Nell?

It's not like we're playing England anyway. After all Tuilagi is Samoan and he's their best player (even if he literally can't pass and just runs at things).

and their second best player is Tongan :p
MASS MASS MASS

Strictly speaking, the Vunipola brothers are Welsh. Still an import, I suppose, but from fairly nearby.

You're sure you're not confusing new south Wales with Wales? Billy was born in Australia and Mako in New Zealand. They were in Wales for a short time but have been brought up through the English system. They are not really imports then.

The place they actually came to England from. (Similar to a large number of imports to the UK are classed as from the EU because of the Rotterdam effect.) I was being facetious in any case.

Oh, and they also played age-grade for Wales prior to moving. The poor sods.

Harrow and Millfield old boys, Old Boy!

Bah! They're no Winchester, and that's for damn sure!

yeh he is Australian born...only way to get that sort of MASS at no.8 who is mobile enough is by getting a Pacific Islander, surely.

Not to be a bummer but in probable teams England will have 2 imports in Hartley and Billy V to our 1 technically in Heaslip. England's 2 come from strong rugby areas. Ours "technically" comes from Israel. If you want to level it we can say POM comes from Peoples Republic of Cork but he'd have Ross in that bracket too.

For what it worth got call there that TOD and D.Ryan will be available for our game with Ospreys on Sunday. Won't know until morning as they'll be training with Munster if they are but will confirm.

Very interesting if true. There's been rumours that Murphy will be benching and if TO'D's with you guys given Ruddock is subbing for us it looks pretty likely. It's some curveball.

As I said I just got a call not a usual source and will know 100% tomorrow as they'll be training with us in UL if released. But I would say if it's true it's a poor call. Not because TOD is being dropped out of 23 but I think Murphy hasn't earned it yet. I thought Ruddock has been the better man on form and more deserving. Regards 2nd row I'm a bit on fence. In 1 way I think Ryan could've been that manic impact that would really boost us off the bench and was immense last weekend. But at same time I accept he may not be fully up to speed and last week was aided by Zebre being poor.
Henderson will do well too.

@ Henry another interesting 1. Ireland are worst team in 6Nation for offloading with only 10 but best for retaining ball
