[2014 Mid-Year Tests] New Zealand vs England (2nd Test)

I guess TMO was asked for a reason not to award one and he could not conclusively say that he could see a reason NOT to award a try! NO matter anyway!!

There was a pretty obvious reason not to award the try. The ball was held up!

WTF? Well done England but that is why this is not a great AB team.....England were on top in the first 30 minutes but did not make the scores, and the the AB's trashed England in the second half and the score ends up with one point difference?

Reckon the TriNations (forget about the Argies!) will be very close this year.................

Strong finish by England. The AB's have a lot of work to.

England shot their load over the first 10 minutes and honestly got pretty badly dominated through the middle 50 minutes... The were brave and impressive in parts, but the scoreline flattered them (particularly with that try they were given in spite of the ball not touching the ground) in the end - although it was a good try to finish the match.

This is the most "flattering" 1-point loss I've ever witnessed watching Rugby. If you look at the score, you'd think this was an absolute nail-biter. Incredible to see that score at the end if you've actually watched the match.
First half belonged to England. Ran out of gas and the second half belonged to NZ. But Eng with a strong reaction towards the last 15min.
Well done, both teams. Another very cool match. Props to England.

Ashton - the best winger in the world :p

Changes for next week Vunipola, Haskell, Lawes in the pack. Eastmond and Manu at centre Yarde, Brown, May

You count their second try? Yeah right. Without their second, I highly doubt that they get their third.

Stuart Lancaster made a big mistake putting Tuilagi on the wing. Hes got to understand just how valuable an Islander in the midfield is. Tuilagi was second rate to him. Manu doesnt deserve that.

The Isle of Man must not have digital TV yet....

........maybe but am in France!!! How is dear old Brissie....loved my two days there in February with all those restaurants near Ridges hotel and the "beach"....

Sod it I would have Ashton instead of May both will struggle against Savea in defence but ashton been on try scoring form this season.

Chris Ashton's pathetic excuse for a rugby career just got given a lease of life. Reckon he'll make it to the World Cup based on the 'but he scored against New Zealand' mewing from Barnes et al.

One point loss makes our mad back line selection and those crazy twenty minutes after half time even worse. A good demonstration why the All Blacks are the best team in the world though, took their chances, kept us under pressure once we were on the back foot and deserved the win.

Not conclusively and without any doubt if you use both eyes my dear old chap!!!!

It was conclusive. Both the ref and TMO saw an arm under the ball. The only reason a try was awarded was because the TMO stated it was an English arm so for some reason didn't count!

I would agree with you BUT surely after this debacle Hansen must realise there are about 4 or 5 players in this team he needs to change out. I suspect its going to take until next year though.
IF that AB team had the right selection of form players and old heads we'd be 20 clear of this England team every test at home.
