Médard is basically the opposite to Teddy! Very consistent in defence, very little attacking flair... he's only scored 1 try for us as wing this season.

euh, it's true Médard has been shiit for France almost every single moment of the matches he's played in the past year, but he doesn't lack flair - he's still young mind you, people tend to forget that, and this year he's shown excellent flair at times for Toulouse. The dude's got his legs back and has looked almost his young self (which was indeed formidable). I'm just worried he'll suck again when wearing blue for wtvr reason, and really pis$ed we're not trying out Fall. Fall+Huget+Spedding, that's a lot of power and size, and tons of athleticism and defenders beaten.

Mermoz is currently regarded as perhaps the best center in the Top 14 this season by some. He's one of the rare centers who can give the right pass on almost every occasion, runs well, scores tries, good stepping, sound on defense, he's quick, and has a ton of experience. And those are the November tests, they've always been about trying out some new faces and with Mermoz's good form these past two years it's been a screaming option than to finally not only pick him, but PLAY him. His partnership with Bastareaud at Toulon is absolutely brilliant, I think the best there is in Europe right now. He constantly goes underrated because everybody sees Bastareaud's huge hits and turnovers or picking 5 guys on his back and making the offload, but if you'd watched Toulon closely at all during some matches these past two years you'd know.

I'm happy he's finally getting some recognition. He won't be as powerful as Dubourrin, but he can create space and step, so he's more of a class line breaker than a battering ram with a real pass.

I've seen Mermoz playing these last 2 years ! And din't find him good at all ! Never saw him breaking the line nor passing in the right time. And if he was the best centre in Europe, then why was the centres of Toulon Giteau and Basta these last 2 seasons ? Seriously Ewiss, please stop drinking when you watch Rudgby on Saturday afternoon ! You have all the evening for that

Looks nicer in the backs than up front tbh. That third row is decimated by injury, but some excellent pieces too in Lavanini, Creevy and the bull Ayerza. Really too bad they don't have Lobbe and Leguizamon notably.
