[2013 TRC] Argentina vs. South Africa in Mendoza (24/08/2013)

The last time ABs ended a first half of game without tries was in 1999. Was not it enough to do that for a team like Argentina?. If England played a bad game was merit to the pressure exerted by the Pumas, every time England tried to move forward, the Pumas were doing back. Even Tuilagi couldn't break the Argentina's defense throughout most of the game. I think the Argentina's defense was meritorious for a lesser team hierarchy.

Cheers
Did I miss something or did they fail to score in the first 40 against England November last year?

Hey, do you follow me on ALL threads? lol

You're comparing to Wales, the best team around the world in the decade of the 70s, with Argentina? I can't believe it. First, I think Agulla has been most important to Bath that Imhoff for Racing Metro.

Second, the best Argentina's defense we saw in RWC 2011 and several TRC's matches last year. Who were the wingers? Agulla and Camacho.

Argentina must return to its roots, building on a strong defense that was what made a respectable team last year. A defense in which ALL players defend, including wingers.

After receiving 77 points and without their best players, it's the best they could do. You want that Phelan's Team play like Crusaders or Chiefs, and they can't do, not as easy as you say so.

Last year's "Pumas vs ABs" in La Plata, Pumas came to attack from the start (They made the first try) and then received 50 points. In that game Phelan did what you want and that was the worst game of Argentina last year, then it's not as simple as you say so.

Cheers
Stormers and Argentina's defense is similiar. They don't concede many cause they do not take many risks like offloads and risky passes and cause most tries come from turn overs they do not concede many. When they tried to run it and turned it over they conceded 50 against NZ. Simple

Define a miss tackle for me.

A tackle in a dress?

(oh, and I couldnt stay watching this game due to the *@#£!"! Vuvuzelas! Security needs to turn them into colonic irrigation utensils for anyone who brings one into a sports arena)

Until that time, September 9, 2011 (ABs 33 - Pumas 10). The game against England was last year, after RWC 2011.

Cheers

Just back from holiday to watch this, hope a better contest than last week

Not a bad start for Argentina.

Now who was telling us rugby games don't have atmosphere?

Basson!!! After the Boks give the ball away to Contepomi!

8-10 with a conversion to come

10-10 The game is more equal than what I expected

Come on the Argies.................this is better than last week and a good thrashing for the Boks would be appreciated!!!

Sanchez's kicks are awful. That's twice which gives the ball to the Boks

somebody PLEASE give me a link in english please ?

actually, I've got one now, if anybody wants it...BUT would still welcome A LINK WITH BETTER QUALITY PLEASE : D
Fine scrum from Argentina ! VAMOS !!!!

People are still surprised by the way Argentina plays at home? Games are so close when played in Argentina, because of the whole experience for the opposing players. They are not used to playing in Argentina yet.
