let me give you a look back at japans autumn tests

[2/11/13] Japan 6 - 54 New Zealand
[9/11/13] Scotland 42 - 17 Japan
[12/11/13] Gloucester 40 - 5 Japan
[15/11/13] Russia 13 - 40 Japan
[23/11/13] Span 7 - 40 Japan

wasn't a great start off the autumn tests for us but improved in the last two matches

something to look up from the tests

*we conceded 29 less points comparing to the 83 - 7 loss to new zealand in the world cup

*we showed the world that basic play is the key to scoring tries against scotland

*we played with a weaken japanese team against a strong Gloucester team

but there is still alot of improvements needed in our defense

i think our main problem is our defense as it showed against new zealand and scotland and i think we also need to fix some off our set pieces even though our set pieces against scotland were planned out well and mastered to perfection but if we can only do that against other tier one nations then we shouldn't have a big problem in scoring tries

we have good backs i think we need good forwards like to win a game you do need good forwards to go into rucking and doing the defensive work which i think was our main problem against scotland we conceded try's which could have easily stop them from scoring. i think our first step into improving our defense is making sure we have a good defensive line like against scotland when they're half-back passed it long to the winger we weren't drifting fast enough and that how to scotland winger scored. when the scotland scrum half kicked it from the 5 meter line we could have easily denied the try but we were slow to react and lamont got the try
