2014 Six Nations: Scotland vs England (Round 2)

If we have another back three or ten injury during the game I'll blow my top. Madness.
 
The fact that May will be starting the game with a broken nose (a fracture doesn't heal in a week) really does lend itself to having a winger on the bench....
Especially as if he goes off then our only 10 cover on the bench comes on at 15, and greatly decreases our attacking threat.
 
Bit ridiculous, HAVE to blood Ford at some point as have no other experienced 10s. Don't understand the thinking especially after Scotlands display on Sunday.
 
If he's not going to play Ford against Scotland then who the **** will he play him against?
Wales... NZ?!
Or are we going to go into a RWC with a rookie FH with no caps.

Apparently Lee Mears has been brought in to assist with the lineout.

Did you not get the memo that he is going to play Farrell into the grave?

Lancaster is so reluctant to use any other 10 it's ridiculous , No wonder the likes of Cipriani turn to booze :lol:
 
It's not Farrell playing that bothers me... I would like him to explain why he is not picking a FH on the bench.
He clearly does not have any confidence in Ford.
 
Is anyone else here very worried about Farrell being intercepted?

Whilst I am delighted that Farrell is taking it to the gain-line, straightening and passing flat to runners, he constantly looks to be in danger of having his passes intercepted

Also, watched scrum V and saw Rob Henderson saying Nowell had a shocker. Seriously, how can you expect the average rugby-going fan to have a clue when our pundits are this clueless!
Rats has already mentioned the metres and defenders beaten Nowell made but watching the game back I was particularly impressed with his tackling.
He took down Picamoles alone when Picamoles had that charge down the wing...few other wingers could have held on in that tackle.

I really really want Twelvetrees to have a big game. It just didn't fall for him against France but he still made some big yards.

The most worrying part is:
A ) I can see Lancaster not giving Ford much game time at all (token few minutes vs Italy perhaps)
B ) Saracens will likely make the premiership final

Meaning Fords first real taste of international rugby will be the All Blacks away, which is a game we have the potential to be absolutely smashed in, which will not do wonders for confidence.

Maybe the hope is that Burns won't be quite so **** come the summer. As big a risk as blooding Ford now, in my opinion.
 
Saturday marks the first time since 1988 that England take no tournament points into the Calcutta Cup having played at least one game.

I don't know why I bother watching it sometimes . It's so one eyed and biased it's incredible . I might write to them in order to get rats on the programme that will put one or two of their so called "experts" to shame lol
