Why so little news on rugby 2012

I wish that they would bring out a screenshot of the guys working on it, or a screenshot or video or anything, that way we can shut down this thread and silence all the rumors!

I guess patience is a virtue is the best advise (easier said than done). We know HB are working on it, just complications with licences are preventing them from saying anything atm yes its gutting, but I'm just stoked we have two rugby games to enjoy during the world cup and the 2012 season I'm sure the wait will be worth it

Because of uni I have been unable to get on, but, there's been another two up dates on the Sidhe game since I was last on. Old HB must have a masterpiece or nothing to compete with the stuff Sidhe is producing.
It's a conspiracy!! One can only wonder.

I have actually heard more news and feedback from HB-Studio's here on TRF than I ever did from EA when they were in charge of the game! When EA were in the driving seat you would get some screenshots the month before release and they didn't really pay attention to what people wanted in the game...I believe that HB are doing a fantastic job keeping us as informed as they have and requesting what we want to see in the game.

In the meantime lets focus on Super Rugby!!!!

Hmmm, They asked what we all wanted, and the two main things people want are licenses and manager mode... It looks like there will be some key licenses missing and there will be no manager mode.

I have not read all of the posts in this section yet so this question may have been asked. Could the lack of information have something to do with the fact that Rugby Challenge is also in development? Maybe they want to keep everything on the down low.

If anything, the competition should encourage them to be more forthcoming with information, but instead we get....nothing. It does make you wonder what's going on.

Yeah, the only thing I ever wanted from the "Rugby" series, was what "FIFA" could have in their games. Good game play, A manager mod and player editing...
In 3 attempts so far, 05 06 and 08, they have failed to address this... If HB studios can do it in their soccer games, why can't they do it in Rugby?
If theirs no Manager mod or Player editing AGAIN, I will not be wasting my money for a 4th time... Simple as.

Fifa hasn't had a player editor mode for donkeys years (the HB developed derivatives have never had player editing). Still each to their own. Nobodys forcing you to spend your money.

I have to agree with the thread ***le I really don't know much about this game from the forum the Q&A is mostly "not sure" or "in the future" and "licencing doesn't allow it". I still can't believe they aren't releasing it on pc do they really want to lose a lot of customers. At the moment I have to say rugby challenge is apealling to me more because I don't have to go and spend and extra $450 and pay more for the actual game.

Would also like to trow this out there a quote from RC "Also, whatever licenses we have announced so far for Rugby Challenge will not appear in their game." their game being rugby 2012 licences anounced is

How are you going to sell a game to the southern hemisphere with the worlds top 3 rugby sides and not have their comps and teams licenced?

If you had to deal with the same (incorrect) comments day after day from every "expert in the know" with an opinion, you'd soon get fed up and dispense with niceties also.

You said "makes you wonder what's going on" and I said "Not really" because I don't wonder what's going on because they'll be doing everything to the best of their abilities in the time that they have to make the game
Worrying about what's happening won't make the game come out any faster and/or better

I am certainly not worried. I just wonder why someone at HB can't find time in their busy schedule to post an update, however minor. Sidhe are streets ahead in that department.
