What games are you playing?

Played RDR on PS3. Don't recall controls of the horse being bad. Thought about playing it on a joypad instead?

Got Jedi Survivor after selling a bunch of games back to CEX. After RDR - net spend of £2, GOT at £10, after sinking 51 hours into it, has got to be the best value I've come across legally. Compared to digital downloads unless it's free.

Mainly playing Dragon Age: Veilguard not GOTY material but its nice to play a proper Bioware game. When I think Andromeda and Inquisition were too expansive in their "open world".

Finished Jedi: Survivor. Didn't enjoy as much as Fallen Order. Too much jumping and figuring out how to get to the main objectives. Twist wasn't that huge a surprise either.

Onto Horizon Zero Dawn which never got to play when it first came out.

If you've got gamepass, have a try of Nine Sols.
It's excellent.

Indiana Jones and the Great Circle has been my go-to since new year, plus an older indie Souls-Like called Hellpoint I picked up on sale. The former is about everything I want from an Indiana Jones game, it's brilliant. Latter is a little rough in places but has some cool features not often seen in the genre such as split screen co-op and an original sci-fi/horror setting.

I loved Horizon Zero Dawn

Just got the hooded horse publisher collection and trying out against the storm. Still trying to get a feel for what should and shouldn't be fine but I can see why it can be a time sink. Finish a round in about an hour which then you to earn bonuses for when you do future rounds.

The main game has long term goals you slowly edge towards round by round.

Ninja Gaiden 4 just got announced at the Xbox Developer Direct and it looked excellent. As did the three other games on show; South of Midnight, Expedition 33, and Doom: The Dark Ages.

Will be day one on all of those (TY Game Pass)

so, im a Switch user and love it, Switch 2 has been announced....and its a bit underwhelming, dont get me wrong i didnt expect or even want a sea change...but this really is just a Switch Pro....the biggest thing...no flagship games announced with it, there is little reason to replace my current one

....so ive pretty much decided to get a steam deck, there obviously a huge catalogue of PC/Xbox/PS games i can play on it

anyone got a steam deck?

I have a Steam Deck and also have a Switch. Haven't touched the Switch since purchasing the SteamDeck and 95% of my gaming is now on the SteamDeck instead of the pc. 100% would recommend.

thats what i was thinking, i want to play Witcher 4 which was the trigger....but then all the other older games i never got to play are attractive...and then i saw there are emulators for it....i have still never played wind waker (never had a gamecube)..those two alone almost make it worth it

which model do you have?

Yea. I'm planning on playing KCD2 on it now. I've also recently played through Cyberpunk, Into the Storm, Age of Mythology, Factorio and Forza Horizon 5. I've also made use of the emulation functionality, and also gotten a lot of the classic old games that I had as a kid running on there very smoothly (like Croc, Turok and Fifa 2001).

It's a great piece of tech, and the suspend functionality makes games incredibly accessible vs running on a pc.

How do you find it with respect to thing like battery life etc? I have long considered getting one. Every plugged it into a bigger screen?

I don't have one but I am reliably informed that doing this with a Steam Deck yields fairly ugly results.

I'm currently doing Ninja Garden on Series X after that surprise drop and reveal recently. Speaking of Xbox, rumours of an Xbox hand held device persist plus next generation announcement in 2026.

Really into Gran Turismo 7 atm, bought it when I first got my PS5 but barely put any time into it because there were so many other games I wanted to play, so giving it a proper crack now

Also got Kingdom Come: Deliverance on the go - completely forgot I had it until seeing the adverts for the 2nd one. Really enjoying it so far (not very far in at all) very tough, but very much my kind of game/setting
