The Movie Thread

Oh geez if people don't expect to read spoilers on a thread that's ***le is to the effect of "what film have you just seen" then they're a lost cause :p

But anyway I kinda puzzled it together in the end but when it's happening I just felt there were some holes in the way the story was brought across.

Saw Zach and Miri Make a Porno the other night.
Funny f***ing film.
In the same style as knocked up and superbad, it was just funny throughout.
I love those kind of films and it had disgusting parts in it, the dialogue was hillarious and the plot was strong also.
THe film has a lot going for it.
Great comedy actors!

Quantum Of Solace: Great Bond Film. Critics can sit on my middle finger if they disagree. :)

Twilight: My wife made me take her to the midnight premier last night. I was impressed. I can see why so many women are obsessed with the books. Good story, left you wanting for the sequel.

NOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
NOT YOU TOO, O'ROTH: NOT YOU TOO! :wah: :wah

The fans of the book are mental.
A group of fans lining up to get an autograph off Robert Pattinson (who's playing the male protagonist) cut their necks, walked up to him and said something like "WE DID THIS FOR YOU!!!11one11!"
Also, the actress playing the female protagonist has almost been driven to a breakdown because of the stress the fans have put on her.

Also, from a few excerpts I've had the displeasure of reading, the writing is terrible.

The last thing I want is for this forum to become infected with Twilight-ism; I get enough of that off my friends at school. <_<

Hopefully Rotten Tomatoes can get some objective reviews up later. I might just see it for teh lulz...

Yeh.
Great book, but because of the selfish cnuts who killed themselves in Swansea a year ago, the school has found it insensitive to study that book for obvious reasons.
Well, obvious to them - I really don't see what the problem is. ******** to it all.

American History X.... Class film that. Though I think everyone finds it horrible to watch that one particularly nasty bit...

Are you referring to the Bridgend suicides, sir?

I am.
Note: the 'selfish cnuts' comment was purely tongue-in-cheek...

Oh yeah I know, don't worry I feel the same about such things; but I'm not going into that. I was just wondering whether you were adhering to some other incident that had passed me by.

Finally got round to watching "Deliverance" in it's entirety last night. f***ing classic movie, I love it.

Watched Lakeview Terrace the other day and it was pretty good. Samuel L Jackson is an awesome actor and he plays the bad guy really well. So much so I thought to myself while watching it damn I hate him he's an idiot but then I remembered he's just playing the character. It's an alright movie not one that'll have the crowds rushing to see it but entertaining.

Only thing I probably don't like is it has some parts where it makes you say "now why the hell would you just go and do that". So if you don't like those sort of movies than this isn't the one for you.

The original or the remake?
I have the remake taped on Sky+, as Danny asked me to view a movie called 'Deliverance'.
Then again, he most likely meant the original. >_>

Original. Stay away from the remake at all costs. The original is sublime and by watching the remake beforehand will only tarnish it's brilliantness.

Going to watch load of nonsense films tonight as it is 'Girl's night' at a friends.

Will let you know which of the viewed films was winner in the 'most brainless flick ever' contest!

Yeah, I should've added my boycott of the books is still on. I'm just saying that seeing the film, I get why everyone is so obsessed. There is a good storyline in there, it's just buried beneath all this idealistic romance crap...Which is why all the obsessed nutter fans are women. But I agree, the fans are mental.
