Of course Fairytale of New York will be getting a few listens over the next few weeks because it's impossible to escape. Still it probably is up there with Feliz Navidad as my favourite Christmas song.

Just found this. Used in probably the best scene of Game of Thrones. (New season in April!).

Just found out about a band called Wilson, cause they're a support act at a gig I'm going to next month, and I'm really digging them.
Proper party rock.

I listened to the whole Hammersmith Odeon album last night, it really is vintage Springsteen, probably him at one of his peaks, I can't believe I'd only heard one or two of those before! As for his later stuff I like most of it, Born in the USA is a really great album, I'm on fire, Glory Days, Dancing in the Dark and My Hometown being some of his best work while the song itself has been ruined through complete misinterpretation and I'm pretty sure he doesn't play it in the States any more but it was fantastic live when I saw him. There was a bit of a drop in the quality of his music then for just under 20 years until he released the Rising which, in my opinion, is an album up there with the likes of Rumours. Wrecking Ball is also a very underrated album in my opinion, although I may be swayed by the fact that I saw most of it live, 'We Are Alive' became a song I thought little of and turned into an incredibly emotional and great piece in concert.

Going through all of this makes me really hope that he comes back to Ireland at least one more time because he really is in a league of his own when it comes to live performances!

Old bump. I don't know if he does/doesn't play Born in the USA at all, but yeah very funny how it has been twisted. Always laughed when people would have their independence day celebrations and I'd hear it blaring down the streets.

Have a listen here:

Incident is my favourite song of his, first song outside of the usual radio fodder I have heard.

Watched the third season of Lilyhammer, good cameo from him in the finale. Good music selection in the show, Warren Zevon's Lawyers, Guns, and Money in one episode, and a cameo from Gary US Bonds.
