What are you listening to?

Love a bit of Portishead, but must say I've always liked 'glory box'. Being converted to 'Roads' as favourite now though.

This is a relatively unknown, but great song (with fantastic video), by 'Hoobastank'.

Only good thing about my job is that since I'm processing taxes, I get to listen to my Ipod seven hours a day. That or I'm working in the post rooms, and I get to use a knife, laugh at peoples misfortunes and fire staples at people there anyway.

There should be a 'like' button for posts like that ;)

Oh, a band who I can't remember how I found, but are now getting popular.

Are a bit 'old school', with a twist.

Wouldn't have called that song 'relatively unknown', it was quite a big hit for them when it was released.

Personally prefer their older stuff, in particular their self-***led album.

Ah ok. Was the first time I'd heard them, and thought the video was in the 'Memento' mould.

Showing my age here.:lol:Bought a CD/DVD of The Beat at the US Festival the other week. The DVD shows the full sets from gigs in 82 and 83.The CD contains some songs from each gig.I can recommend it.
Hey! You'd be surprised how many young people like this kind of music. A friend on this forum and I saw the Selecter and Toots and the Maytals in concert on a day out event last year. They were both awesome. The Beat were playing the day before, but we couldn't make it. :(

Daughter - youth (remix). Click the top vid that comes up when searched.

Unbelievable tune , if my life had a soundtrack it would be this.

Love Hoobastank

Even though I live less than 45 mins from Portishead and been there (including hitting a 6 into the lake at the cricket ground) I find the band a bit too odd for my tastes. Same with Massive Attack

The early work of Massive Attack is always on my MP3 player. Today I had a Warp day: Autechre, Squarepusher, Amon Tobin etc...

Currently listening to a absolute masterpeice
