I am not a spastic, but I do think iPod'd are an incredible way of wasting your money.

and bought mum - david gilmore live, and that dave dobbin/bic runga/tim finn live cd as one of those gag gifts - because she hates dave and tim. so i told her to get out of the car and walk home...

So are you saying that 6Gb Other Brand MP3 Players for 400 odd dollars aren't a waste of money but 30Gb iPods capable of playing back Photos and Movies for 529 are?

No, I am saying that iPod are rip-offs, and I would reather pay more for something that is going to last.

my friend has had SO much **** from Apple over his iPod, they have replaced it once, and has broke down again. But because it has been replaced once they said no.

Depends what sort you get, and your friend must have had his for over a year because you can get it replaced as many times as you want for as long as the out of the box warrenty lasts (1 year)

and I had my mini for over a year and not a single problem.
