Warm Up Match 5: Maori All Blacks v British & Irish Lions (Rotorua)

You have just seen why Damien McKenzie will not replace any current All Black in any of the positions he plays.

That hasn't saved anyone recently from legitimate tackles. Intentional shoulder which catches someone in the head is a red all day long. Falling player or not.
With a ref this spineless, though

Agree it should've been a red

Halfpenny was below normal height and sliding.
Thats a yellow
The ref got it right.
Trying for more than that is gamesmanship and poor form.

Good point from POM
He's "warned" them a few mins ago and we've had two or three more penalties in the 22

The yellow for the dirty shot shouldn't scrub out the massive amount of penalties in the 22

Let's grind one over, then we take take a few more risks in attack.

Never a red card.

Lions still utterly inept at doing anything with the possession and territory they have.

No conversion on penalty tries?
I'm glad the lions players are as clueless about these new laws as I am

Who was saying we'd struggle in the scrum this week?

I knew that one was coming too; but again, thought it was a September introduction.
When did they come in for the SH? surely not mid-season?
