Wales v England

 Brian Moore complaining about Wales killing the ball...

Toby Flood proving his worth at international level with a pathetic miss in front of the posts.

regardless of bias, he's right.

Regardless of bias, England spent the entire first half killing the ball. If England lose this game, you know who to blame.
Game over now really. 3 minutes left and a scrum to Wales just outside England's 22. Massive improvement from England.

I'm guessing you don't count Martyn Williams constantly lying on the wrong side with his paws on the ball as killing the ball then?

I'm not saying England didn't kill the ball, just pointing out that Wales did as well, and were very very lucky not to get pinged.

I do. But that's not what lost England the game.
And Worsley's MOtM. Deserved.

I think Halfpenny has a proper claim to man of the match, no doubt Worsley has had a good game but not a standout performance like we got last week from Roberts and Heaslip.

I was talking to Sir Speedy.[/b]

Sorry, I wasn't paying attention, I thought you replied to my post.

I never believe the ref wins or loses a game for someone, but he had a huge influence on the game for sure with two yellow cards to none, while an identical bit of foul play on the welsh line by R. Jones was ignored, as well as the charge from Byrne on Armitage. Not even mentioning the skewed penalty line, and the total omission of the offside line.

England short of ideas in the last 10 minutes.

And as far as the referee goes... as someone who doesn't suffer pain whether England lose in the 6 Nations or not, I think he has been disgraceful. He went racing into the warnings early on and regardless of whether or not England were killing the ball, Wales have been offside on a multitude of occasions, deliberately, and he warned them once. The next time they did it, he just let them get on with it.

He's spoiled the game. And Wales deserved their win.

Worsley did all the dirty, ugly work though.
His tackles on Roberts were very effective. If he hadn't been there to make them, I bet we'd have scored more points. Worsley's earned his place imo.

Overall, England much improved at the breakdown and in defence, but the kicking game was very average, and the backs couldn't get go forward consistantly enough.
