Wales - Six Nations 2012

With Gatland's latest comments about Halfpenny and then the possibilities to replace Shane, does anybody think that Harry Robinson may win a Wales call-up, considering Gatland's record with teenage wingers? I'm a big fan of his, and would be happy if it happened, even if he isn't quite ready for test rugby yet.

When Roberts is fit,
12. Beck 13. Roberts
y/n?

I'd be up for that combo, although might be best off if we gave Beck a few cameos to climatise. Took him a season of half-games to really get into his current form with the Ospreys. Jamie should be back within a fortnight, hopefully, and Jon Davies seems to be playing well at the moment as well.

Glad to see everyone feeling the same about Beck, Shingler and gareth Davies.

I don't think we'll see Morgan yet though.

Yea and he doesn't deserve it either. We've got enough cover at 10 for the mean time. He could do with another year or two to round his game. Hes got to earn his spot.

Two weeks of big games now, I think it'll just be preistland and hook at 10, unlike he picks hook for another position

Also Rhys Gill has been playing very well for the Sarries, seems to be forgotten though

I don't think hes been forgotten he's just hasn't had any good form since Gatland capped him first and you could arguably say he was only picked because of a lack of options.
But now he seems to be maturing well and putting in some very good performances and i think we will see him involved in the summer tour if not the 6 nations. Bevington and James playing in Wales won't help his case though.

He's possibly the most improved player in Wales (him or Charteris) in the last 5 years... If you think he's crap now, what were you saying about him in 2008??!!!

He is better than John Yapp!
Most of the opinions on James are after he plays tighthead. He is a loosehead, a vastly different position. He is one of the best loosehead scrummagers playing, from what I have seen. He is nowhere near as active as Gethin in the loose, but who is?

Bevington comes close to Gethin Jenkins in the lose imo, or at least he's closing the gap. I agree with the duck, Paul James is one of the most improved players in Wales. His losehead scrummaging is strong, and he's done a good job for us on the tight when called upon. I feel he's slowly getting overtaken by some of the youngsters (Bevington and possibly Gill), but the option he offers of covering tighthead can be invaluable, especially as a bench option at international level where there isn't room for two props on the bench.

Yeah, he will be a good asset on the bench.
Until this World Cup (v Namibia), he had played in every Welsh test since November 2009.
29 out of the past 31 tests now. (Missed RWC v Namibia and Australia in December)

No Priestland? Hook hasn't looked so great for Wales this year, throwing him straight in at 10 is a bold call

I agree he had a terrible world cup, but he's been playing well for Perpignan and I think he's an all round better player than Priestland
