What I don't understand is wh Coetzee replaced our best player on the day in Jacque Fourie? He wasn't injured and it was a very tight match. We seriously needed his penetration in the last 10/15 minutes.

Big mystery to me brother. I agree, they needed Fourie in the backline in all of their possesion. Im not saying that he would've continued to break the Crusaders backline (then again he might've), but he had the attention of the 'Saders defence, perhaps he wouldve come up with a big draw and pass. Shouldve, couldve, would've....surely Coetzee in his mind is found wanting.

Yeah, I'm not saying he would've won us the game but in the situation we were in (also when he was taken off) you want your best players on the field and he is our best backline player for sure.

Also, having a re-look at the game I see Cronje made a couple of mistakes that I didn't pick up on earlier. Still, he can only get better with this forced exposure and Grant won't be around forever.

Yes i read that too was a Precaution. Sad that the stormers lost the match they really had their opportunities to win the game. Otherwise the Crusaders just show their class by winning the game without key personnel.
