The Jordan Peterson course on semantic fog. I've seen some videos of the guy and for every valid point he makes, there is a deluge of pseudo-intellectual crap where he just tries to drag the entire thing into semantics and being a massive pedant. He's also very quick to accuse others of being smartasses whilst that's pretty much his entire thing. The guy flat out refuses to ever be pinned down to anything. One exchange pretty much went like this:

Student: "So you're a Christian"
Peterson: "I never said I was a Christian!"
Student: "So you're not Christian?"
Peterson: "No I didn't say that"
Student: "So are you are Christian or not? It's a yes no question"
Peterson: "No it isn't."

To give her credit, I read an article peice a while ago about her role as a backbench trouble maker as a strategy, from the intelligencer if I remember correctly. Theu used her and AOC as examples, I thought that was brilliant, just hang MTG out there to say some wild crazy stuff everytime you want a distraction lol

In New York I'm dripped out in Knicks kit, backward cap, in Banderra I'm chewing straw with leather boots on and dicking around on the ranch shooting anything that doesn't move hahaha

So Republicans on Oklahoma have passed a new education curriculum which essentially teaches students that the 2020 election was stolen, essentially a carbon copy of the "teach the controversy" tactic used by creationists.

When questioned, Trumps education secretary refused to say if teaching that the 2020 election was not stolen would be deemed "DEI" and illegal. She also didn't know about the Tulsa race riots or other events relating to the civil rights movement in the USA, or confirm if they would be deemed illegal to teach.

This is on top of the administration benning scientific research using government funding from using certain words. THIS is what actual censorship and propaganda looks like, but the free speech crowd are deathly silent, just like those who cried about the deficit are silent at Trump exploding it to the highest levels ever.

They already have plenty of revisionism in the south about the causes of the civil war. The current favourite line is "it was a war about States rights", to which the favourite response is "states rights to do what?"

The fact that a huge number of southerners have no issue with walking around with a flag that first and foremost was to represent a nation whose very reason for existing was to protect slavery is shocking.

The southern states lost the war but they won the propaganda efforts after.

Trump Harvard ban: US president suspends foreign student visas

On Thursday, in a federal court filing, the university accused the Trump administration of a "vendetta against Harvard".

Trump has now outright banned foreign students from enrolling at Harvard, claiming it is a national security threat.

Anyone still want to claim Trump is all talk and not engaged in petty, retaliatory behaviour? The "justification" for this action is pure ********, he is absing the power of the government to go after a private entity for exercising free speech.

This is a pattern of behaviour, it's not simply "Trump saying outrageous things", it's Trump doing outrageous things.
