Sorry just arrived in my inbox and can't find anything official to confirm it's happening. Apparently the Vodacom Cup, takes place in South Africa while the S14 is on, is expanding to include the Argentinian Jaguars to be based in Cape Town / Stellenbosch and playing in the Southern Section. Nambia are also being touted as joining the expanded competition.

If so well done South Africa :bravo:

Can one of the Saffas confirm or debase this one?

Would this perhaps be an attempt to edge in the Jaguars to the next Super expansion, sure to happen after S15 falls on it's arse? Cut the fifth Aussie team, included the Jaguars, now we're talking.

Hmm, there's something here (in Spanish though). It's something along the lines of "according to the UAR, the Jaguars will probably play the Vodacom Cup as a technical warm up for Argentina-based players. They will also retain their spot at the Churchill Cup."

There's a bit of a conflict though. The UAR is going to force all players included in the PlaDAR to choose between staying in their own clubs, or go along with "Argentina A". The line there is heavily drawn and I can see why (the players that are in this high performance plan are already performing WAY above their completely amateur counterparts). On the other hand, it's senseless to keep this guys out of their regular competitions, unless of course... they do play the Vodacom Cup.

It'd seem the pieces are coming together now and I am commencing to understand why this rather controversial measure was issued early on.
